Rong's data database is an archival data platform represented by Rong Zongjing and Rong Desheng, which is digitally preserved through collection, classification and collation. The database has unique historical significance and practical value for studying the development of Chinese national industry and commerce, studying the spiritual connotation of Rong's culture, and protecting modern cultural relics. In October 2017, Mr. Rong Zhijian proposed to do a good job in collecting historical materials of the Rong family for future research and corporate management. In 2018, When Jiangnan University and the Rong Research Institute studied and promoted the research of Rong's culture, they put forward the idea of building a "Rong's data database". In 2019, the Library and Archives of Jiangnan University cooperated with Tsinghua Tongfang "CNKI" to use modern information and database technology to process and establish the basic framework of the "Rong's Data Database". In October 2020, Jiangnan University and rong research association jointly initiated the establishment of the Rong's data database alliance. In September 2021, the "Rong's Data Database" was launched on the campus LAN of Jiangnan University.

At the meeting, the Jiangnan Cultural Research Institute introduced and demonstrated the construction of the "Rong's Data Database", and the participants conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on promoting the construction and development of the "Rong's Data Database".

Chairman Zhou Minwei affirmed the achievements made by the Society in academic research, data collection, compilation and publication of monographs since its establishment, and expressed gratitude for the hard work of Rong's cultural research and the construction of Rong's data database of Jiangnan University. He pointed out that rongshi culture is a valuable spiritual wealth, and the cultural value and history contained in Wuxi's unique tin merchant spirit are inseparable from the Rong family. It is necessary to give full play to the role of the database alliance, continuously expand the member units of the alliance, actively collect relevant historical materials of the Rongjia family at home and abroad, and contribute to the promotion of the study of the Rong family culture.
