Today in History: Painting Model Picasso Was Once a "Bad Boy"

Hello, little fat talk about history, meet with you again.

Today is October 25, 2021, 140 years ago today, the famous Spanish painter , Picasso was born.

Picasso was born in the small Spanish city of Margara, and because he was influenced by his parents, he loved painting very much, and when he grew up, he embarked on the road of painting.

Picasso's creativity is astonishing, and he is a model worker in the painting world – his works total nearly 37,000, including nearly 2,000 oil paintings, more than 7,000 drawings, and more than 20,000 prints, sculptures and ceramics.

Picasso, who is so productive and hardworking, was a "bad boy" who was disliked by his teachers when he was young.

Picasso, who has brought his artistic talent since childhood, had a pleasant and wonderful childhood before entering school. He was very good at paper-cutting, he cut it exquisitely, and at a young age, he also created many amazing paintings, and his neighbors were full of sighs and called him "little genius".

The aura of the "little genius" became worthless in the academy, and sitting obediently in the classroom and listening to an entire lesson was simply torture for Picasso. In class, he often wandered his mind and immersed himself in his own endless fantasies; otherwise, he stared at the trees and birds outside the window in a daze, and whenever he was found by the teacher, he had to be disciplined. The stupid Picasso became the object of his classmates' teasing.

As a "bad student", being left in school by the teacher and being locked up has also become picasso's daily routine.

There was only a table and chairs and empty walls in the school's confinement room, but Picasso was pleased. Because he could bring a stack of paper and draw freely there.

Although Picasso was a "non-mainstream" descendant, his father was very supportive of his hobbies and ideals. With his father as a solid backing, Picasso was not affected by the school environment, and he was still immersed in the colorful imagination every day, although his homework has always been good, he found the purest happiness in the world of painting.

As an adult, Picasso can receive various awards and praise, although he has experienced several lows in his life, but he can always find the source of motivation to continue to move forward in his favorite paintings.

Once a bad boy, he eventually grew up to become a generation of famous painters. In 1949, his work "Dove of Peace" was selected as the poster of the International Peace Conference and became a masterpiece.

Unlike Van Gogh, who lived a lifetime of poverty, Picasso was the first painter ever to see his work collected in the Louvre.

In 1973, Picasso quietly left, fulfilling his wish to complete his career at the age of 92 in the kingdom of painting.
