Morphological characteristics
Medium-sized folds. Body dark brown. The head is slightly wider than the forebreast and has 2 rounded white markings on the head and thorax. The antennae are dark brown and filamentous. The dorsal plate of the anterior chest is square. The feet are black brown.

Adults appear from March to May. It has weak flying power, rarely stays away from the water's edge, and often moves on rocks and plants along streams.
Habitat
Streams and shores in the middle and high altitude of the Qinling Mountains.
