Eyelid Tiger, at first hearing the name, is majestic, and what immediately comes to mind is the yellow and black striped Tiger King. In fact, it is a gecko. It belongs to the subfamily Blepharosaurs of the family Geckos of the order Lepidoptera, which is diurnal and retarded, and feeds on small invertebrates. Unlike the ferocity of the tiger, the eyelid tiger is cute and docile.
Today, I would like to introduce China's unique Yingde eyelid tiger, which lives in the mountainous area of Yingde City, Guangdong Province, which is dominated by karst landforms. The eyelid tiger is brightly colored, the pupils are in a straight line during the day, and the iris colors are olive green, orange, blood red, milky white, etc., making their eyes like jewels, shining and fascinating.
Because of these characteristics of the Anglo-German eyelid tiger, they became global pets and were therefore threatened by human capture and trade. At present, the Anglo-German eyelid tiger has been listed as a critically endangered species in the #China Biodiversity Red List.
