【Morphological characteristics】Adult female adult is 13.4 mm long, maggot-shaped, large head and lower abdomen, flat tail end, light yellow-brown; the head is covered with short tan villi, short antennae, serrated, thick and long abdomen, brown light brown villi, the fifth to eighth segments of the dorsal center is banded naked. Male adults are 7 to 8 mm long, gray-black-brown, feathery antennae, black-brown ctenophores; the forewings are narrower, brownish brown, the wing veins are pale grayish-white, and there is a dark black-brown crescent-shaped marking at the posterior transverse vein of the middle chamber, and the end line is composed of gray-yellow-white dots; the hindwings are broad and dark brown. The eggs are oblate spherical and off-white. Larvae The terminal larvae are 31 to 34 mm long, reddish-brown, with a yellow to light reddish-brown head, a rose-red tenth hair on the back of the thorax, and a bunch of black-brown spiny longhairs protruding obliquely forward; and a gray-white longitudinal band on the back of the thorax. 【Living habits】In southern Guangxi, there are activities all year round, and all insect states can overwinter. Male adults are phototropic. The female feathers and lays the eggs in a lumpy form on the pupal cocoon. After the hatching larvae rest for half a day, they disperse and eat young leaves or flower utensils, and the older larvae are harmful to the fruit, and the old mature larvae first spit silk and stick the villi before pupating into a loose thin cocoon, which pupates. It occurs more often from April to May every year, and the occurrence of lychee and longan in autumn is a serious occurrence.
