After a slightly calm summer in the past, Liverpool seem to have decided to keep their current squad, but at the same time, there are some well-known players in the squad who may leave next summer.

While players such as Alisson, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk have locked up long-term contracts with the team, there are still some players whose future is unclear. Of the 4 players to be listed today, they have less than a year left on their contract at Anfield.

Since Milner joined Liverpool from Manchester City on a free basis in 2015, Milner has played important roles in left-back, right-back, late midfielder and centre-back, and some fans will even include him in the list of Liverpool legends.

Although Milner became an indispensable player under Klopp in the Reds' Premier League winning season in 2019/20, the 35-year-old is also believed to have clearly felt that his playing time is decreasing, and in the entire 2020/21 season, Milner has only started 19 games in total.

The former England international is now at the end of his career and has yet to renew a new contract with the team, but he will be an incredible figure at Anfield anyway.

Klopp said in April 2021: "I don't know if I say this often, but I can say the same thing many times: the grain of rice (Milner loves to call it) is very, very important for this team. Whether it's as a person, or as an important character, it's the same as a player. His role is not limited to the locker room, but he does have a lot of appeal in the locker room. ”

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="8" > Devoc Origi</h1>

While Origi has been a minor role in the squad since joining in 2014, there is no doubt that he has written his name into Liverpool's folk fiction script.

From scoring the winning goal in the 96th minute against Everton in 2018, to scoring twice against Barcelona, to scoring in the Champions League final, Origi seems to have found the trick, he can always be the team's savior at certain moments, but also let his highlights in the Reds time freeze and become a clip that fans talk about.

But from start to finish, Origi knew that he would not be able to become the regular main player of the Reds, before him was the phenomenal trio Salah, Mane and Firmino, and after the addition of Diogo Jota, it intensified the competition for the frontcourt position. Since the 2020/21 season, Origi has only started 2 Premier League games.

The Belgian player has been getting some playing opportunities under Klopp recently, but it's still possible he will leave in the summer of 2022 in search of a starting spot.

"Du Walker is a good guy, and that's the way it is. And when we look back 10 years from now, he will be seen as a Legend of Liverpool, but it is still too young for him to be a legend now, so he has to play," Klopp said after leading the team to a 3-2 win over AC Milan.

"If I had to be 100 per cent honest, of course I would have thought he was going to leave next summer, but the football world is always full of madness and people have clearly forgotten how good he can be. I've said before that it's not easy to get into this team. That's the truth, I need to think about the platooning in different positions and what adjustments should be made before each game starts. That's why Origi hadn't played much before, he didn't do anything wrong. He trains hard and he gives everything for it, but even then sometimes you don't get a chance to be in the big list. ”

While the best moments for Origi to wear a Reds shirt happen in the Champions League, for Karius it was the opposite.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper, who joined Liverpool from Mainz 05 in 2016, managed to take the place of Minolet's starting goalkeeper and became Klopp's goalkeeper of choice.

But Later Karius is known for his frequent big mistakes, especially in the 2018 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid. Karius has not played for the Reds since that game in Kiev. For the past three seasons, he has been loaned to Besiktas and Union Berlin.

Karius is now back in the Reds after missing a summer transfer, but fans will be surprised if he can still break the record of 49 appearances for Liverpool.

After leaving West Ham in 2018/19, Adrian joined Liverpool on a free basis and became Alisson's substitute.

The goalkeeper's performance in the Super Cup against Chelsea after entering the penalty shootout was quite eye-catching and gave a good first impression. In the 2019/20 season, Alisson was out of the line due to injury, and Adrian also got some opportunities to perform, playing 11 games.

But after that 2-7 loss to Aston Villa, the 34-year-old barely played for the team anymore and now he's even behind Kelleher in the rankings and has a high probability of leaving tomorrow summer.
