On the evening of September 28, the "I Believe in You" Guangzhou Original Group Song Exhibition and Performance jointly organized by the Propaganda Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese Musicians Association was held at the Guangzhou Grand Theatre. The song is based on the moving story of Guangzhou's urban memory at a major national historical node, and lasted two years of preparation and creation. On the basis of the Beijing premiere concert in May, the Guangzhou exhibition and performance invited local singers in Guangzhou to sing, integrate the dance choreography of various literary and art groups in Guangzhou, highlight its innovation, viewability and audibility, and use music to sing the odes of the times and present the National Day.
The "I Believe in You" song consists of 7 parts and 12 songs, covering the Culture of the Silk Road, the Culture of the Red Revolution, the Culture of Lingnan, the Culture of Reform and Opening Up and the Culture of the Greater Bay Area, and each song carries the unique "fireworks" of Guangzhou. In the evening, songs such as "Kapok Red", which sang the spirit of Guangzhou, "The Pearl River in dreams flows slowly" that expressed the feelings of Lingnan Pearl Water, and "The Wind of the Greater Bay Area", which depicted a beautiful blueprint for the development and construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, were staged one after another, which deeply infected the audience. This exhibition creatively introduces "drama narrators", connecting the chapters with their narrations, so that the audience can more intuitively enter the situation created by the group songs and feel the past, present and future of Guangzhou, a heroic city.
The second part of the show is even more exciting. Female singer Wang Chenrui brought a vibrant song "Bring Your Own Light", coupled with rapper Lin Jiaxin's dynamic rap, pushing the atmosphere of the scene to a climax.
The performance ended with the song "I Firmly Believe in You", and the famous soprano artist Cui Zhengrong and the famous singer Young Master Dongshan joined hands to perform, singing the people's profound understanding of the party's hundred-year struggle and respect for the party.
Industry insiders commented that "I Firmly Believe in You" sings the big era with "small incisions" and "small regions" sings the big realm, and has made useful attempts on how to use music to tell the party's story, tell the Chinese story well, and spread the Chinese voice. On May 25 this year, this Guangzhou suite was held as a symphony at the first concert at the Zhongshan Park Music Hall in Beijing.
