Legendary Pictures has now officially approved the Dune 2 film, and director Denis Villeneuve has returned, scheduled to be released only in theaters on October 20, 2023.

Legendary Pictures and Warner posted the news on social media, tweeting that Legendary Pictures thanked fans and said they were looking forward to continuing the journey.
The director has revealed that in the second part, Timothy Chalame will continue to play Paul Ertridi, Zandaa will play Cheni more scenes, and Hans Zimmer will continue to be in charge of the soundtrack.
In fact, "Dune" has been set as a number of movies, especially after the full title was exposed as Dune: Part One. Previous concerns were that high-concept sci-fi films like Dune might not get as many audiences as they deserve to make multiple sequels.
"Dune" grossed $40 million in the U.S. first weekend, which is already a very good result for a movie that also released HBO Max at the same time. Dune has now grossed more than $225 million worldwide.
The domestic "Dune" was released on October 22, and as of October 25, the domestic box office has now exceeded 140 million yuan.
