Beijing, June 17 (China News Network) -- The China Hand in Hand International Foundation, initiated by the Beijing Cultural Industry Chamber of Commerce, was officially established in Beijing on the 17th.
At the inaugural press conference on the 17th, Guo Lishuang, president of the Beijing Cultural Industry Chamber of Commerce, introduced that in March this year, in line with the principle of "mutual benefit and win-win cooperation", the Beijing Cultural Industry Chamber of Commerce and the Sierra Leone Embassy in China officially signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation, aiming to further promote exchanges and cooperation in the cultural field between China and Sierra Leone.
She plans to mature the foundation within three years. The foundation will build a bridge of friendship between China and Cyprus to better promote international ethnic cultural and artistic exchanges; its funds are mainly used to support the development of Fisheries, Transportation, Mining, Medical Care, Insurance, Hotels, Culture, Education and other fields in Sierra Leone.
Momo, the acting ambassador of Sierra Leone to China, said that as the first international foundation between Serbia and China, the Cypriot-Chinese Hand in Hand Foundation can be described as a milestone and will open a new model for cooperation between the two countries. Today's press conference is only the first step, and there will be many projects to implement the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the future, especially in the field of women's and children's education, which will become the focus of in-depth cooperation.
China and Sierra Leone established diplomatic relations in 1971. In 2016, the two heads of state decided to elevate China-Cyprus relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership. (End)
