In order to comprehensively promote rural revitalization and accelerate the development of the beautiful rural economy, recently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province and the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism have selected 20 towns (townships and streets) with more standardized development of homestays, relatively sound mechanisms for combining agriculture and tourism and joint agriculture with agriculture, and a solid foundation for the improvement of rural living environment as provincial country house demonstration towns on the basis of recommendations from relevant departments listed at all levels. Among them, Shenzhen Town, Gaozhou City, was on the list, and was the only one in Maoming District to be selected.
Homestays in Shenzhen Town are gathered around the Xian Ren Cave in the 4A scenic spot. Xianren Cave Scenic Area is located in the northeast of Shenzhen, located in the southern foothills of the "first peak in western Guangdong" Datianding, within the territory of heque flower square, Tianhe Valley scenery, alpine flowers and other scenic spots, the highest local altitude of 1380 meters. Due to the dense forest, good natural ecology, fresh air around xianren cave, summer temperature between 20 °C and 25 °C, high negative ion content, is a natural oxygen bar, an ideal health place and a rare summer resort in the south.
In recent years, relying on superior ecological tourism resources, the party committee and government of Shenzhen Town have vigorously developed homestays and other formats, actively promoted the "three changes reform" to revitalize the countryside, attracted a large number of homestay owners to invest, and formed a homestay cluster.
The reporter learned that most of the local homestays are based on the upgrading of the old power plant dormitory building or the reconstruction of the old site, which has realized the revitalization of resources. In the past National Day Golden Week, the deep town homestay shined, and a room was difficult to find.
It is reported that in addition to the beautiful scenery, food is also one of the factors that attract tourists. Local specialties include alpine yellow beef, clear water slimming fish, farmhouse chicken, dendrobium fairy duck, moso bamboo shoots, banana taro cake, mugwort, large leeks and so on. The development of agricultural characteristics is sound and colorful, mainly including dendrobium, flowers, sweet potatoes, tea leaves, tea seeds, honey, wild vegetables and so on. Among them, the "Xianren cave sweet potato" has excellent quality, sells well in the streets and alleys, and has a high reputation.
