According to Malaysia's Shihua Daily, a Chinese female accountant and her family went to Longyun for a holiday from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, but it eventually turned into an unexpected tragedy, and the Chinese female accountant and her son were found drowning in the resort pool.
At around 1:45 p.m. local time on October 22, a 34-year-old Chinese female accountant and her 4-year-old son were found drowning at the bottom of the resort pool by other residents.
Baharuddin, director of the Dragon Transport Police District, said preliminary findings showed that neither the deceased nor her son could swim, and the pool was only 15 meters from the room where the two were staying.
Baharuddin said: "Several residents found the remains of two deceased people at the bottom of the 3-meter-deep pool while playing in the water at the site, and immediately informed the resort staff. He said resort staff rescued the bodies of the two dead from the bottom of the pool and then performed CPR for them, but there was still no response. After that, ambulances rushed them to Longyun Hospital. The results of the autopsy showed that both died of drowning, and the family had come to claim the remains.
