At 12:00 a.m. on October 27, with the successful erection of the last 25-meter T beam, all 384 beam plates on the right side of the Kuma Expressway Gangkun Mart Bridge were erected, and the bridge successfully achieved half-width penetration, which is also the first half-width special bridge of the Entire Route of The Jiuma Expressway, laying a solid foundation for the realization of the 50-kilometer basic formation of the Aba section at the end of this year.
The Gangkun Mart Bridge has a total length of 1623 meters, which belongs to the control project of 50 kilometers in the Aba section, which has the characteristics of long beam plate transportation route, large bridge span, high safety risk, large number of construction, and difficult construction. In order to ensure the safe, high-quality and efficient progress of the bridge construction, starting from the erection of beam plates on July 9, Shudao Group Zanggao Jiuma Company and Sichuan Road and Bridge Group overcame many unfavorable conditions such as harsh climate and environment, short effective construction period, and shortage of material supply, and launched a series of technical research and management innovations.
The Expressway from Jiuzhi (Sichuan-Qingdaojie) to Malkang Section is the first northwest-oriented expressway out of Sichuan, the first plateau ecological civilization demonstration expressway and the first high-altitude plateau expressway in our province. Invested and built by Shudao Investment Group, the Qinghai Huajiu Expressway has been built in the north and the Wenma Expressway in the south, with a total length of 219 kilometers, which is an important channel connecting the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone, Aba Prefecture and Qinghai Province, as well as an economic artery that radiates and drives the development of Tibet-related areas, a major channel for people's livelihood in rural revitalization, and a political corridor to promote the unity of all ethnic groups in Tibet-related areas.
Among them, the 50-kilometer section of the Aba section is scheduled to be basically formed by the end of 2021 and completed and opened to traffic in 2022.
Up to now, 93% of the subgrade works, 94% of the culvert works and 97% of the bridge pile foundations have been completed. The entire project is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2024.
