■ Yang Jiancheng sorted out the works created.
According to a report by the Xiamen Evening News on 27 October, "In recent years, I have created many works, and since last year, I have created more, and I have not stopped." The 75-year-old Yang Jiancheng, holding a thick stack of manuscripts, said, "If I have the opportunity, I will also form a book, hoping that more people will see it, and more people can pay attention to and understand the art of Minnan Qu." ”
Yang Jiancheng is an authentic farmer in Xixi Village, Jimei Houxi Town, and only the first Chinese. For decades, he has a special love for Minnan opera, seriously studying the answering drum, Qian opera, lotus leaf rap, etc., and also combining the works he created into a book.
Likes to play and sing, often while playing and modifying the work
Yang Jiancheng is the representative inheritor of the first batch of intangible cultural heritage answering drums in Jimei District. Since childhood, he has loved literature and art, especially the local music and traditional performing arts such as the local music and drum, song and pop, folk proverbs and other oral arts and traditional performing arts in southern Fujian. When he was young, he participated in the qu art training class, composed the repertoire of Acura agricultural large-scale production such as "Planting Trees" and "Accumulation of Fat", and was an active member of the Jimei rural stage at that time. Over the decades, he has been creating more than one, and his works are often adopted by grass-roots literary and artistic teams.
His composed works such as "The First Ride", "Strange Innocence", "Big Dog Climbing the Wall and Little Dog Looking" have also won awards in the provincial and municipal qu art essay competition. In the 2018 Xiamen First Song Boy Rap Essay and Performance Competition, his Lotus Leaf Rap "The Direction of the New Era" won the first prize after the performance of the Front Field Song Boy Rap Transmission Center, and the Lotus Leaf Rap "Forty Years of Glory" he created won the second prize. This is not easy for a peasant music worker.
In addition to writing, Yang Jiancheng can also pull and speak. Yueqin, daguang string, hexagonal string, shell string, erhu, etc. He can play, he likes to play himself and sing, often while singing while modifying his own works. His works are quite rich in content, including positive themes such as praising the progress of the times, praising the truth, goodness and beauty of human nature, praising civic morality and social harmony, and some cautionary works that criticize the shortcomings of society and the ugliness of human nature.
"Some Minnan nursery rhymes have some unhealthy sentences, and I have revised them. To give lectures to children, we must promote positive energy. Yang Jiancheng said, "I often read books, newspapers and TV, and I also find people to discuss problems, and my creation must keep up with the new situation." ”
His works have been selected by some schools as teaching materials for qu art
In 2012, Yang Jiancheng compiled more than 100 works into a book and named it "Selected Works of Yang Jiancheng's Minnan Quyi". This pamphlet has been selected by some primary and secondary schools in Jimei as a teaching material for minnan qu art.
In 2014, Yang Jiancheng, relying on years of memory, compiled a book "Selected and Interpreted Proverbs of Southern Fujian in Jimei District", in which he annotated 1,000 proverbs and sayings. He said that some Minnan proverbs and sayings are rarely said by people now, and few people use them, and if they are not sorted out again, I am afraid that they will disappear in the future.
Yang Jiancheng plans to compile some of the works he has created in recent years into a book. He also had two manuscripts, which had been sleeping in a drawer for years. One is "Three PhoenixEs", which is about the drama within the play where the two brothers and sisters who sing and sell the arts are separated and reunited, with more than 20 characters and 23 scenes; the other is the qian drama "Blood Wrongs" adapted from the comic strip "Lonely Grave Blood Case". The two dramas have many characters, many scenes, large scenes, and high rehearsal costs, which he said is an important reason why the two plays have not been put on the stage so far.
