The two-day inaugural meeting of the Hainan Alliance of the Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the China Heart Alliance was successfully concluded in Qionghai, Hainan.
During the conference, Hainan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was awarded the first batch of "National Cardiovascular Disease Management Capacity Assessment and Improvement Project" (CDQI) National Standardized Cardiac Rehabilitation Center Construction Unit in Hainan, marking a new stage in the field of cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment of the hospital from prevention and treatment to integrated management of cardiac rehabilitation. Zhang Ming, director of the cardiovascular department of the hospital, was elected as the first vice chairman of the Hainan Alliance of the Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the China Heart Alliance, Peng Zhiguo, deputy director of the department, was elected as a standing committee member, and Liao Mei, Wang Zhuan, Li Guangzhi, Deng Hairong, and Zhou Yaqi were hired as members.
The Cardiovascular Department of Hainan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine began to prepare for the construction of a cardiac rehabilitation center in 2018, during which medical staff were selected to study cardiac rehabilitation in Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, Ruikang Hospital Affiliated to Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, and participated in national cardiac rehabilitation training classes for many times to cultivate and reserve talents. In August 2018, Hainan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the National Cardiopulmonary Prevention and Rehabilitation Center officially signed a cooperation agreement, marking that the hospital has become one of the members of the "National Cardiopulmonary Prevention and Rehabilitation Center Collaboration Network". In December 2018, the China Cardiovascular Health Alliance, the Cardiovascular Health Research Institute, and the Headquarters of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center awarded the "Cardiac Rehabilitation Center Construction Unit" of Hainan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
