Pelican nests are clustered together, often with 700 nests, and the male and female pelicans look alike. The male pelican will find ways to attract the female pelican with him. In this large nesting area, pelicans only lie on cloudy days and nights to keep their eggs warm, and on hot days, they stand up and shade their eggs with their bodies.
