Hubei Huanggang City Puchun County Chidong Town, The planting base of pudong, at a glance, the ridge is full of green.
"How does this smell?" It can both repellent mosquitoes and disinfect. Song Chrysanthemum, who was hoeing grass in the field, picked a few mugwort leaves and handed them to the reporter, "Don't look at this wormwood, my family's current life depends on it, and I can earn 15,000 yuan a year." ”
Song Juhua is 61 years old and is a villager in Wudoudi Village, Chidong Town. Wudoudi Village is dominated by hillside land, water conservancy facilities are weak, the incidence of poverty in 2015 reached 12.6%, and the village collective has no income.
Puchun is the hometown of the Ming Dynasty medical scientist Li Shizhen and has a long tradition of growing Chinese medicinal herbs. In 2015, based on resource endowments, Puchun County proposed to develop the wormwood industry as the fulcrum of the county's industrial transformation and upgrading. In that year, two foreign merchants visited Wudoudi Village and decided to invest in the construction of a planting base for wormwood.
Taking this as an opportunity, Wudoudi Village set up a professional cooperative for the cultivation of wormwood to drive poor households to plant wormwood in the model of "company + cooperative + poor households". After several years of development, the collective income of Wudoudi Village reached 180,000 yuan, which not only achieved poverty alleviation in 2019, but also led to the employment of more than 150 people in the village and surrounding villages.
The development process of Wudoudi Village is a microcosm of the rise of the wormwood industry in Puchun. By the end of 2019, the county's wormwood planting area reached 180,000 mu, with more than 2,000 related enterprises and an output value of 5 billion yuan.
10 kilometers north of Wudoudi Village is the Puchun County Economic Development Zone. In the factory, various new products such as puma sprays, plasters, and bedding are constantly rolling off the production line, and then being sent to all parts of the country.
"This year is busier than usual, coming back to work in February, we eat and live in the factory." At Hubei Dingai Technology Co., Ltd., located in the Li Shizhen Pharmaceutical Industrial Park in Puchun County, Li Maoqiu, who was playing with mugwort, said. Li Maoqiu has a disability and has been working odd jobs outside in the past. "Now that the ai industry has started, I have an income of more than 4,000 yuan per month when I work in the company, and my life is getting better and better."
During the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Puchun's wormwood enterprises donated tens of millions of yuan worth of wormwood products to designated hospitals, cabin hospitals and isolation points throughout Hubei. "Many doctors and patients have reported that wormwood is good and help us sell it, and this year's company orders have increased by 30% compared with last year." Chen Zhixiang, head of Hubei Ai Master Technology Co., Ltd., said.
In recent years, puchun has taken the big health industry as a breakthrough, and regularly holds the Li Shizhen Ai Health Culture Festival and the Chinese Herbal Medicine Fair every year, creating the "Internet + Wormwood" forum, the "Internet + Chinese Medicinal Materials" forum, the World Wormwood Conference, etc., focusing on extending the wormwood industry chain.
"Gua Sha is mainly divided into supplement method and drainage method, and the supplement method should be slow and weak, and follow the meridian direction..." On August 31, at the Puchun Li Shi Zhen Xi Ai Health Training School, principal Zhu Zhu demonstrated while teaching theory. 40 students in pairs, carefully followed the practice.
6 years ago, Zhu Zhu came to Puchun to establish the Moxibustion Training School and witnessed the development of the Moxibustion Training Industry in Puchun. "At that time, there was no moxibustion hall in the county, and after the first training class, no students came to register for a long time."
Nowadays, the wormwood industry is thriving in the spring breeze, and professional moxibustion halls have also opened one after another. Zhang Ai, a villager in Bianjie Village, Qingshi Town, has also changed the trajectory of his life.
The year before, Zhang Ai's husband died of illness, and the burden of the family weighed on her. Later, when he heard that puchun Li Shizhen Zhen Xi Health Training School provided moxibustion training for poor households for free, Zhang Ai decided to give it a try. "Not only is it free of tuition, transportation, food and lodging, but it also introduces us to work." Half a year later, Zhang Ai became an moxibustionist in a moxibustion hall.
"Now the health industry in Puchun is developing fast, many guests come to do moxibustion, and I have an average income of 5,000 yuan a month." Zhang Ai's family got rid of poverty, and seeing that life is getting better day by day, she is full of hope for the future.
Through the integration of the strength of training institutions, Puchun has developed 19 moxibustion training schools, which can export more than 20,000 moxibustion talents to the outside world every year. Moxibustion therapist has now become a labor export brand in Hubei Province.
"From head to toe, eating and eating, the products of the wormwood have achieved full coverage." Zhao Shaolian, secretary of the Puchun County Party Committee, introduced that according to the current annual growth rate of 35%, by 2025, the annual output value of Pu Ai will reach 30 billion yuan, driving the employment and income of 300,000 people in the whole industrial chain.
