Fuzhou, February 27 (China News Network) (Reporter Yan Xu) "Seeing those historical materials, I learned about the arduous journey of the ancestors who crossed the sea to take the imperial examination. We are also from Taiwan to Fuzhou to study, and we feel more at home here. Zhang Ruting, a Taiwan senior student studying at Fujian Medical University, recently visited the Fuzhou Taiwan Association in Fuzhou Sanfang Seven Lanes, and hung up a blessing board and wrote down the wish of "successful graduation and a good job".

Inaugurated on November 1 last year and opened to the public free of charge, the Fuzhou Taiwan Association takes compatriots on both sides of the strait jointly inheriting Chinese culture as the main line, revealing the historical testimony of the two sides of the strait that are connected by roots, blood ties, mutual help and belonging to the same China.

The reporter learned from the Fuzhou Taiwan Compatriots Association on the 27th that after the hall was opened to the public, it received great attention from the society and the Taiwan compatriots. As of February 26, nearly 30,000 tourists have visited the museum, including more than 1,300 visitors in 81 batches of units and groups.

Fuzhou Taiwan Guild Hall was built by Liu Xuan of Taiwan Province, built in 1884, put into use the following year, specially for Taiwanese scholars to come to Rong to participate in the Fujian township test, into the Beijing conference test when staying, can live more than 300 people, the original site has undergone changes have ceased to exist. In 2018, the Fuzhou Municipal Government chose the site of No. 51 HuangXiang and No. 3 Qilin Lane in the Historical and Cultural Block of Sanfang Qixiang to rebuild the Fuzhou Taiwan Guild Hall, integrating historical and cultural elements into the ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

After the restoration, the Fuzhou Taiwan Guild Hall is divided into a historical theme exhibition area, a contemporary special exhibition area, and an exchange activity area, supplemented by texts and pictures, cultural relics and historical materials, scene restoration, and other forms of expression, tracing the long history of the two sides of the strait, watching out for each other, and ruling together with one heart, witnessing the process of resuming exchanges, exchanges and integration, and sharing well-being, publicizing Huitai policies and measures, and displaying the exchanges between Rongtai and Taiwan in culture, education, science and technology, economic trade, folk culture, and youth.

On the prayer shelf in the Taiwan Guild Hall in Fuzhou, the hopes and blessings written by the compatriots on both sides of the strait who came to visit were hung: "smooth studies," "one family on both sides of the strait," "integrated development," "spiritual fit," "early reunification of the motherland," and "realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation."

Fuzhou Taiwan Association is actively exploring the "Home of Taiwan Compatriots" and window platform for building a "Taiwan Compatriots' Home" and window platform for communication and friendship services to unite the vast number of Taiwan compatriots and promote the spiritual harmony of compatriots on both sides of the strait. Tang Jingjun, director of the Liaison Office of the Fuzhou Taiwan Compatriots Association, said that he hopes to give full play to the advantages of the new platform for exchanges between the Fuzhou Taiwan Association and Taiwan, enhance the sense of identity of Taiwan compatriots with the same roots and origin of Chinese culture, promote the spiritual harmony of compatriots on both sides of the strait, and let rongtai students further understand the changes of the times in Fuzhou's development, and encourage young people in Taiwan to come to Rong to start businesses and find employment.
