Recently, the Forbidden City in Taiwan exhibited for the first time the suicide note of Ma Xinyi, the protagonist of the "Thorn Horse" case, written by his stepdaughter eldest son according to his oral account, describing the initial assassination process, in which it was written that "there was a person who did not know his name at the door, and stabbed him with a sharp blade to injure his right rib, which was extremely seriously injured", which means that the two sides do not know each other.
Zheng Yongchang, a researcher at the National Palace Museum in Taiwan, said: "When we saw Ma Xinyi's testament, we were very clearly told that he and Zhang Wenxiang, the murderer who assassinated him, were actually unknown people, so the petition tells us that these people have a relationship of worship, and there may be a distance (from the facts).
As for the confession of the killer Zhang Wenxuan, it is written that because his wife was abducted to Ma Xinyi and eaten, and the pawnshop he ran was raided by Ma Xinyi, the private grudge would be ambushed and waiting for the opportunity.

The sensational horse assassination case at the end of the Qing Dynasty has been adapted many times, and there are even folk versions, believing that Ma Xinyi was murdered by the forces behind the Xiang Army because of investigating how many Taiping Army treasures the Xiang Army plundered, this case is still unsolved, but with the exposure of the two parties, it can also make people more or less able to deliberate the appearance of the matter.
