However, in the later years of Emperor Wu of Han, Liu Zhu was involved in the "scourge of witchcraft". Liu Zhi had a cousin named Gongsun Jingsheng, who was arrogant and arrogant because he was the nephew of the empress, and embezzled public funds, and was later sent to prison, and Gongsun Jingsheng's father, Gongsun He, took the initiative to ask Miao to arrest the thief Zhu Anshi in order to save his son. Zhu Anshi was captured by Gongsun He, but in prison he falsely accused Gongsun Jingsheng of having an affair with Princess Yangshi and of cursing Tianzi.

In his later years, Emperor Wu of Han was already suspicious of ghosts, and not only put Gongsun He's father and son in prison, but also sent his favorite minister Jiang Chong to investigate the matter. Gongsun He and the empress were in-laws, and the empress's son Liu Zhao was the crown prince. Partial Jiang Chong acted fiercely and was not liked by the prince. In the future, if Liu was claimed to be emperor, Jiang Chong would certainly not have a good end, so Jiang Chong tried to involve the crown prince in this matter. Crown Prince Liu Was forced to be helpless and had to raise an army to protect himself, but he was framed as a rebel and finally committed suicide.
After the death of Crown Prince Liu Zhao, Emperor Wu of Han never made another crown prince. The emperor's third son, Liu Dan, saw hope and invited himself into the palace to defend the emperor. Emperor Wu of Han was furious and beheaded the emissaries sent by Liu Dan. The fourth son of the emperor, Liu Xu, was extravagant, fond of lascivious pleasures, and was not a candidate for the crown prince. The emperor's fifth son, Liu Qi (劉髆), was a nephew of Li Guangli and the chancellor Liu Quyi (劉屈氂). However, Emperor Wu of Han hated his courtiers for making up their own minds, so he beheaded Liu Quyi, and Li Guangli was forced to defect to the Xiongnu. In this case, Liu Fuling, a 5-year-old young prince with little support from foreign relatives, only entered the eyes of Emperor Wu of Han.
The second person was Liu Fuling's biological mother, Lady Zhao Jieyu. Legend has it that Lady Hook Yi was born with a clenched fist and could not stretch. When Emperor Wudi of Han passed through the river, the hopeful qi person said to him: "There is a strange woman here", and Emperor Wudi of Han sent someone to look for him. When Zhao Jieyu came to Emperor Wu of Han, Emperor Wu was extremely surprised. Trying to open the hand she was holding, she found that she was holding a jade hook in her hand, so Emperor Wu of Han took Zhao Jieyu back to the palace. So the palace where she lived was the Hook Yi Palace, so people called her Lady Hook Yi.

When Lady Hook Yi was pregnant with Liu Fuling, it is said that she was also pregnant for fourteen months before giving birth to the child, so Liu Fuling had some more mystery. If the throne was passed to Liu Fuling, there would be no disaster of the "Zhulu Rebellion" in the early Han Dynasty. In order to prevent the lord from being suspicious of the country after his death, the woman took power, and Emperor Wu of Han also specially killed Lady Hook Yi first. It was also because of the deaths of Liu Zhao and Lady Hook Yi that Liu Fuling was able to ascend to the throne at the age of 8.
