1. Cultivate and extinguish borers
Rice cultivation and killing borer is a practical technical measure for plant protection promoted by Jiangxi Province in recent years, mainly by ploughing the rice field and irrigating deep water to soak the rice piles in the early stage of wintering borer feathering, so that the pupae in the field pupae die of hypoxia, effectively reduce the source of insects in the field, and reduce the infestation of field borers.

Generally, during the peak period of dihua borer pupae (late March to early April), irrigation of 3-5 cm of paddling field for 7-10 days can effectively reduce the base number of adult insects in the overwintering generation of dihua borer. If you plough the winter idle field before March 20, immediately after ploughing, flood the field, and rake and plant it flat after 10-20 days of immersion. In the winter idle field of rice in one season, it is necessary to pay attention to early ploughing or irrigation of deep water to extinguish pupae before April 10, and soak in water for more than 10 days after ploughing. Judging from some experiments and practices, the longer the rice field is ploughed, the more effective it can reduce the harm of the dimorphic borer.
2. Sexual lure lamp to induce adult worms
Where conditions permit, sexual trapping agents and insecticidal lamps can be used to trap adult insects.
(1) Sexual trapping: At the beginning of the feathering of adult borers, hang sexual traps in rice fields (more than 50 acres) to trap adult insects. 1 trap is inserted per acre of rice paddy field, and 1 core of dichemidal borer is built-in, which traps male moths, interferes with the normal mating of adults, and reduces the effective amount of eggs in the field. For example, 0.55% rice dimorphic borer attractant PVC capillary core and high efficiency new moth trap (inverted funnel bell cover) are selected.

Precautions: Trap placement time must be early, must be in the wintering generation of dihua borer male moth field before the first sight. The trap placement height is 50-80 cm above the ground at the bottom of the trap.
(2) Insecticidal lamp booby-trapping: There are many rice planting bases with concentrated contiguous areas that have installed insecticidal lamps, and it is recommended to turn on the lights at night from the end of March to trap borers and other pests.
