"People swim in the middle of the painting, birds fly in the sky, smear flowers on the face, put your heart intoxicated, ah let you come and don't want to go back..." This is a song that the people of all ethnic groups in Qiubei County, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, are familiar with, "The Beauty of the Hometown That Can't Be Sung", showing the beautiful picture of the good ecological environmental protection of puzuhei National Wetland Park.

Puzuhei is a national 5A-level tourist attraction and national wetland park, with a total area of 163 square kilometers, a wetland area of 27 square kilometers, and a wetland rate of 16.763%. Because of its special wetland ecosystem structure, Puzhehei preserves the unique biodiversity of karst areas, and the special habitat conditions promote the common co-domain geographical differentiation phenomenon in karst areas, and differentiate many endemic species in the narrow areas of Puzhehei areas.
For a long time, the cadres and masses of all ethnic groups in Qiubei cherished the "Mother Lake" of Puerhei as if they loved their own eyes, and have always paid attention to the ecological and environmental protection of Puzhehei. In 2010 and 2016, the People's Government of Qiubei County successively established the Qiubei County Wetland Protection and Management Institute and the Qiubei Puerhei Provincial Nature Reserve Management and Protection Bureau to carry out the protection, treatment and restoration of the Puerhei Wetland, implemented the environmental infrastructure construction and pollution source treatment project in the Puerhei Wetland, carried out the construction of 7 artificial wetlands at the mouth of the lake, including the wetland plant restoration and water purification projects, and closed more than 2,000 mu of mountains and forests at the source of the Puerhei Wetland. More than 4,000 acres of vegetation have been restored.
Through the equal emphasis on tourism development and protection, the vascular plants in the Puzuhei Wetland have increased from the original 465 species of 119 families to 823 species in 151 families, and the newly discovered national second-class protected plant - Arrow leaf large oil mango. The number of birds has increased from the original 142 species of 16 orders and 34 families to 209 species of 16 orders and 36 families, including golden eagles and oriental white storks, as well as 21 species of national level II key protected birds. The number of fish species increased from 18 to 89, and there were endemic fish such as the loach of the blind plateau of the hill, the golden ray of the north of the hill, the eagle beaked golden ray and other endemic fish. At present, the protection and biodiversity restoration of the Puzuhei Wetland have achieved remarkable results, and there is a gratifying scene of harmonious coexistence between man and nature everywhere.
