Ricciardo: Verstappen is the toughest teammate I've ever met

Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo revealed that the most difficult teammate he has ever met is Max Verstappen, who currently plays with red bull racing. Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel lost in Ricciardo's comparison.

Ricciardo's debut dates back to the 2011 British Grand Prix, when his teammate was HRT Team's Rieuuz. He was promoted to Red Bull Jr. in 2012, partnering Jean-Eric Poohni and then working with Vettel at Red Bull. Daniel Coviat was promoted to Red Bull Racing after Vettel joined Ferrari in 2014, but the Russian's unsatisfactory performance was soon replaced by the more aggressive Verstappen.

Since then, the two have been partnering with their teammates to this day. Ricciardo considers the Dutchman the strongest challenge he has ever faced since he began his racing career: "I'm not trying to deny Sebba anything. In an interview with Britain's Four, Ricardo revealed, "He was, and still is, a very remarkable driver." But I believe Max is the hardest of all the teammates I've ever met. Hopefully he'll make the same assessment of me. ”

In the interview, Ricciardo also recalled a scene in Hungary where Verstappen squeezed himself out of the track in the opening lap. In that match, Ricciardo was immediately angry at the team radio because he withdrew from the opening lap and his teammates were still able to continue the game. In Singapore, the 28-year-old recalled: "Matthew pulled me off the track. My state at that time was probably 'no one is allowed to touch me'. I just wanted to wait for Max to drive past me again. On that fire, I probably said something. But I still feel like I'm in control of myself. ”

But after the accident, Verstappen quickly apologized to Ricciardo after the match. "Things passed quickly. Obviously, I'm unhappy, but it's not something I'm in control of, so what can I do? He took out the man's look and apologized to me, which is the most important thing. The two of us sat face to face, much like the current situation, but without cameras, we talked to each other, which was important. Ricardo continued to recall.

Currently in the standings, ricciardo is leading his teammates by a large margin due to verstappen's poor car reliability this season, ranking fourth in the driver's points gang with 162 points.
