The Peking Opera "Noble Concubine Drunk", also known as "Hundred Flowers Pavilion", is a classic play of Mei Pai. In the play, Yang Yuhuan (Yang Guifei) was transferred to the West Palace because the king missed the appointment at the banquet, and his shame and sorrow could not be solved, so he had to borrow wine to dispel his feelings, but he was drunk. This play has always been a housekeeping play of Tsing Yi Xing, especially the highlight of Mei Pai Tsing Yi, and all of them are proud to interpret this play. In the play, the actor is required to dress up handsomely, have a graceful artistic performance, be able to sing and dance, and play a character. Because of its historical legend and Meipai's artistic craftsmanship, it has always been popular and familiar to the audience.
After Mr. Mei Lanfang and Mr. Mei Baojiu went west one after another, the play they liked was continuously inherited. The dedication of Mei Pai's descendants makes the artistic essence of this play still show a dazzling style.
This play originally came from a Chinese opera. Han opera artists surnamed Wu performed in Beijing and passed it on to the Peking Opera artist Lu Sanbao, who in turn taught Mr. Mei Lanfang. Mr. Mei is a master of art, and through the processing and tempering of his hands, this drama is euphemistic and fascinating, and the dance style is beautiful and eye-catching.
Mr. Chen Bohua, a Chinese opera performance artist, absorbed the essence of Mr. Mei's performance book, and on the basis of the performance book of his brother Mr. Liu Shun'e, he made a new artistic processing of Han opera, so that this drama of Han opera still has its own characteristics and is completely comparable to Peking Opera in art.
Mr. Mei Baojiu created and compiled the drama "Tang Guifei", and through the singing of "Ode to the Pear Blossom", the artistic image of Yang Guifei was known to the public. People inside and outside the industry are eager to play this role, which is undoubtedly a good thing for meipai and even the inheritance of opera art.
