Liu Yilin (1907-1985), a native of Punan'an Village, was a pediatric expert. He graduated from the Medical College of Tongji University in 1931. In 1933, he received his M.D. from the University of Hamburg, Germany. After returning to China in 1934, he opened a "Yiling Hospital" to practice medicine. After the founding of New China, he successively served as the vice president of Xinhailian Workers' Hospital, the president of Lianyungang People's Hospital, and the vice mayor of Lianyungang City.
