Liu Yilin (1907-1985), a native of Punan'an Village, was a pediatric expert. He graduated from the Medical College of Tongji University in 1931. In 1933, he received his M.D. from the University of Hamburg, Germany. After returning to China in 1934, he opened a "Yiling Hospital" to practice medicine. After the founding of New China, he successively served as the vice president of Xinhailian Workers' Hospital, the president of Lianyungang People's Hospital, and the vice mayor of Lianyungang City.

Liu Yilin's superb medical skills have saved many critically ill patients, and he is called "divine doctor" by the people. In 1979, the blood lymphocyte separator was successfully developed to fill a gap for the country, and the third class of scientific and technological achievements in Jiangsu Province was published in the journal "Chinese Epidemiology" in 1982. His main translations include "About Reye's Folk Disease", "Levosoprazole", "Skin Viscous Lymph Node Syndrome", "Anti-D Chest Tone Albumin Deficiency", "AoP and Platelet Aggregation" and other more than 100 foreign language materials.
