The 22nd China International Education Annual Conference, sponsored by the China Education Association for International Exchange, was held in Beijing from 21 to 24 July. Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China, put forward a three-point initiative on promoting international educational exchanges and cooperation towards a higher quality.
First, adhere to win-win symbiosis and deepen educational cooperation. All countries should cooperate to overcome difficulties in education, strengthen education policy communication and resource sharing, promote the sharing of the fruits of education reform and development among peoples of all countries, and enhance the fairness, effectiveness and synergy of global development.
The second is to adhere to innovation and creation and lead the development of the cause. All countries should actively promote education reform and innovation, strengthen the organic connection and integrated development of the education chain and the talent chain, industrial chain and innovation chain, and continuously improve the ability of education itself to develop and the level of service economic and social development.
The third is to adhere to mutual learning and mutual learning and promote people-to-people ties. All countries should strengthen education in international understanding and cross-cultural communication, provide teachers and students with platforms and opportunities for mutual learning, exchanges and mutual learning, let education help people-to-people bonds, and lay a solid foundation for public opinion to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
Huai Jinpeng said that on the basis of the smooth realization of "learning", China's education is accelerating the construction of a high-quality education system that meets the people's desire to "go to school", will focus on priority development, fair and accessible, teaching according to aptitude, open and flexible, and strive to make educational resources accompany everyone throughout the process, so that educational achievements are equal to everyone, so that the educational process can develop comprehensively for everyone, let educational efficiency deeply help everyone, and run a satisfactory education for the people.
Huai Jinpeng pointed out that in the face of the epidemic, the Chinese government has adhered to the supremacy of the people and the supremacy of life, adhered to the principle of "suspension of classes and non-stop learning", and guaranteed the life and health of the majority of students and the right to education. China's poverty alleviation battle has won a comprehensive victory, and students from poor families have dropped out of school to achieve dynamic clearance, laying a solid foundation for blocking the intergenerational transmission of poverty.
With the theme of "Cultivating New Opportunities, Opening a New Bureau, and Building an Open And High-Quality Education System", this conference drew a new blueprint for global education cooperation. Susan Eckerland, Executive Under-Secretary of the Uk Department of Education, Minister of Education Tan Chun Sang of Singapore, and Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education of UNESCO, delivered video messages.
