The CTA500 held in Chengdu is open to elite amateur players. Participants are assessed on the CTN level before the competition, and the level is assessed according to the results of the test, and only those who reach ctn 5-7 are allowed to participate. The points earned by the contestants after participating in the competition play an important role in the transformation of amateur players into professional players.
"The main purpose of this tournament is to deeply promote the participation of the whole people, the cultivation and reserve of tennis talents, and to cast the original top IP event belonging to China." It is not just a tour event, but will also be fully linked to the qualification for the National Games. The relevant person in charge of the organizer introduced, "It breaks down the barriers between professional and amateur players, and uses the same set of points system, which greatly encourages the enthusiasm of amateur players to participate." The person in charge said that through the competition, all players will have their own domestic points and rankings, and in accordance with the world's common 52-week rolling points ranking method, they will be eligible for participation, seeding and direct to the finals at all levels of the Central Tour.
According to reports, there are "old players" who have just turned 20 years old but have more than ten years of age; there are also 12-year-old "rookies" who have just begun to learn tennis and have already shown great talent; among them, there are husband and wife partners, and there are also friends who come together to participate.
After two days of competition, the champions and runners-up of each group were produced one after another. In the men's singles final, Tu Qin defeated Wu Yifan to win the men's singles championship of this competition. At the same time, Ma Yujuan defeated Xu Yao to win the women's singles championship. In several other categories, Peng Changwei/Cai Zhao won the men's doubles title and Li Yihong/Cao Tian won the women's doubles title. In the mixed doubles final, Tang Wenxi / Zhong Jin finally defeated their opponents with skillful technology and tacit cooperation to win the championship.
Ma Yuzhen, who won the women's singles title, is a first-year student at Sichuan University, but she has been playing tennis for 12 years, and she is particularly excited to win the championship: "I am participating in the Central Tour for the first time.
