Hikari Residences is located in a residential project in Bandung, Indonesia. As a house where people live and grow up, the layout of the dwelling plays an important role, illustrating the connections and synergies between the public, private and service spheres.

Hikari Residences literally means "House of Light" and its purpose is to allow users to experience natural lighting and the interaction of time with architecture. The natural light entering the house will change, not only during the day, but constantly changing as the sun moves toward the earth. In addition to natural lighting, airflow also plays an important role in this house. Air flows from the terraces and living areas to the restaurant and dry garden, allowing the house to "breathe".

The design utilizes the concept of terraced houses to create a twist of appearance and interior, creating a different atmosphere that blurs the boundaries between the interior and exterior of the Hikari house. The pile of things placed in the backyard is the same height as the eyes of the user in the living room, emphasizing the connection between outdoor and indoor. This makes the connection between outdoor and indoor elements even closer. The cactus garden seen from the restaurant then creates a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors. In addition to the dining room, there is extra space, and when the partition glass is opened, the interior space becomes more spacious.

Since the interior design and the exterior should be unified and inseparable from the building itself, the interior of this house is interwoven with elements that can be seen in the building. Architectural style, natural lighting, artificial lighting, furniture, decorative accents, these are all pleasant landscapes, these are all elements that convey from the interior of the house to make people feel.

The front of the house faces west, providing privacy to the user with a rugged appearance that prevents the afternoon sun from shining directly into the interior. The form and materials of the house reflect that it is a house that requires only lower maintenance costs. In addition, the façade of the house uses exposed concrete, Ulin wood, steel and other materials, giving the impression of a modern tropical home.
