Wang Jian'er, chairman of the board of directors and secretary of the party committee of Shanghai Film Group, said that Wu Yigong's spirit of rooted creation inspired the filmmakers to return to content and originality, and encouraged everyone to polish the golden signboard of "Shanghai Film Studio". The power contained in the four words of "Long Live the Movie" makes the filmmakers still face difficulties in such a special year as 2020, "The most important one in our new strategy for the development of the 14th Five-Year Plan is to make a good film, and at any important historical moment, the film will not be absent, which is the most fundamental mission of our filmmakers." ”

Wang Jun, deputy secretary of the party committee and president of Shanghai Film Group, issued donation certificates to Wu Yigong's wife, Zhang Wenrong, son Wu Tiange, and other family members. At the end of the opening ceremony, Wang Jian'er, Wang Jun, Zhang Wenrong, Wu Tiange, and Wu Yigong's former friend Chen Dong jointly stamped the seal of "Long Live the Movie" on the specially made scroll.

This exhibition focuses on Wu Yigong's film works and his creative achievements, follows his creative process and life trajectory with the content of seven major sections, disseminates the aesthetics of Shanghai film and the spirit of Shanghai film, and presents the connotation of "long live the film".

Enrich historical materials and comprehensively show Wu Yigong's film life

"Long Live the Movie - Wu Yigong Memorial Special Exhibition" is the annual exhibition of the Shanghai Film Museum in 2020. After a year of preparation and planning, the curatorial team selected physical objects, manuscripts, stills, photos, trophies, literary books, completed table books and other fine collections to comprehensively show Wu Yigong's film life.

Among them, the director's summary of films such as "Bashan Night Rain" and "Que Li Renjia", the work notes of "Seongnam Old Things" and "Sister", and the scene drawings of films such as "Exile University" and "The Young Master's Tribulation" are all publicly displayed for the first time and have very important historical research value.

The most striking thing in the exhibition is a large art installation in the exhibition area. 914 photographs gushed out of a carton, and with the carefully treated light design, Wu Yigong's life bloomed like a beam of light. The idea for this installation stemmed from his own experience — the teenager Wu Yigong used flashlights and cartons to make his own theater and plant a movie dream. When dreams shine into reality, we pay tribute to this idealist with the intersection of light and shadow. At the same time, the museum also uses the special number of 914 to express its most sincere commemoration and remembrance on the first anniversary of the death of director Wu Yigong.

Classic scenes are reproduced, immersed in the charm of the movie, and the "Long Live the Movie" theme series products are newly launched

This special exhibition specially restores two classic classic scenes, so that viewers can immerse themselves in the movie scene and become the protagonist.

The exhibition area of "Seongnam Old Things" restored Xiao Yingzi's school, and cameras, camera lights and other equipment created a sense of on-site shooting of the film. Spectators can sit at tables and chairs from the 1920s and recite Hideko's favorite phrase " Let's see the sea go" by yingzi.

Walking into "Que Li Ren Jia", pushing open the door of the "Old Confucius Family", the family portrait of Confucius family of five generations in the same hall comes into view, and the imbalance between historical responsibility and moral responsibility deduces a classic family ethics drama, which has achieved a new peak in Wu Yigong's creative sequence.

In order to cooperate with the "Wu Yigong Memorial Special Exhibition" and dig deep into the connotation of "Long Live the Movie", the cultural and creative team of the Electric Expo creatively created a series of themed cultural creations. As the core word of cultural and creative development, the cultural and creative team captured inspiration from "Old Things in Seongnam" and created a seal engraved "Long Live the Movie" font, giving it emotion with nostalgic warmth and power in the form of engraving.

The series of products includes the "Long Live the Movie" commemorative plate stamp, theme brooch, commemorative canvas bag, work manual, file bag, as well as "Seongnam Old Things" atmosphere map replica, "Farewell" hand-cranked music box, etc.

The Wu Yigong Memorial Special Exhibition is another film master exhibition after Xie Jin, Tang Xiaodan, Zheng Junli and other exhibitions, and is also the first blockbuster exhibition of the Film Museum in 2020, which opened on September 12 and lasted for one year.
