As the temperature in Shangri-La plummeted, black-necked cranes and black storks flew back to the Napa Sea. On October 21, the staff of the Napa Maritime Management and Conservation Bureau monitored 12 black-necked cranes and 65 black storks, as well as great egrets, herons, night herons, spotted geese and red mallards waiting for birds, and napa Sea once again ushered in the annual migratory bird event. In recent years, the population of black-necked cranes overwintering in the Napa Sea has been stable, and the number has been maintained at about 300 to 320, and every year in the ninth month of the lunar calendar, the black-necked cranes will fly back to the Napa Sea for wintering, and the cranes are harmonious, which is a beautiful landscape of the Napa Sea.

Like the black-necked crane, the black stork is also a national first-class protected animal, the black stork breeds in the north, wintering in the south of the Yangtze River, known as the "panda among birds". In 1988, the first black stork was recorded in the Napa Sea; in 2004, the number of black storks was systematically monitored and recorded for the first time; and the number of napa sea black storks migrated to 416 on November 16, 2020, and the Napa Sea has become the largest, most concentrated and most important wintering ground and migration stop in the domestic black stork population.
