In the next ten days, as the temperature drops further, more white-headed cranes will arrive at Chongming Dongtan, and researchers from Shanghai Chongming Dongtan Bird National Nature Reserve will continue to pay close attention to the situation of the crane flock to ensure that the white-headed crane population can safely overwinter in Dongtan.
Wintering cygnets appear in Chongming Dongtan Conservation Area
Following the discovery of the "family of three" of bald cranes on October 20, the staff of Shanghai Chongming Dongtan Bird National Nature Reserve found the cygnets that first arrived for wintering in 2021 in the reserve on the 21st and took clear photos.
