In the sixteenth year of Guangxu, that is, in 1890 AD, the Qing government at that time set up the "Great Qing Kingdom No. 1 Boundary Monument" here. More than 130 years later, this boundary monument still stands at the mouth of the Beilun River, staring at the mighty Chinese coastline that stretches 18,000 kilometers to the north.
Our trip will also start from here, along the coastline all the way north, a total of 1800 kilometers, the destination is the coastal city of Xiamen, known as Ludao.
The beginning full of question marks
For a Chengdu native, self-driving is a familiar thing. During the festive season, the mighty Chuan A army sweeps across the country (although some people have brought a lot of trouble to the local area). However, I have never driven a pure electric car to drive a car, so when I arrived in Dongxing and saw geometry C, my brain was a paste.
Even today, when Tesla has been put on the altar and the mileage can reach up to 700km, I don't think it is a rational thing to drive a pure electric car to play long-distance self-driving. After all, the odds of not being able to find a charging station should be much greater than the odds of not being able to find No. 95 gasoline.
However, the little sister of the same company did not think so. According to her words, it is a pure electric journey that can be said to be walked.
Say go away, still pure electricity? Skeptical, at my strong request, we eventually rented a fuel car just in case we needed it.
So, a strange combination hit the road. In front of it is a spirited geometric C, followed by a nervous fuel car.
Are you sure you don't charge?
The destination of the first day is Maoming, and according to the calculation of navigation, the driving distance from Dongxing is about 420 kilometers. For most fuel vehicles, this point of the road can easily run a tank of fuel to the end and even rich, but geometric C should be replenished in the middle of the way, right?
Faced with a geometry C that wasn't fully charged (95%), I solemnly asked if I needed to charge halfway through, and she rejected me with a serious face and talked a lot of technical terms.
The most impressive words are as follows: SEM intelligent energy management system, 183Wh/kg energy density, 70kW·h battery capacity, 523 type ternary lithium battery, 550km NEDC endurance... The ghost knew how so many science words could pop up in her liberal arts head.
However, these jerky terms translate into the vernacular that the battery capacity of geometric C is large enough, and has its own set of original SOC control algorithms, coupled with the early design of the emphasis on lightweight and aerodynamics, so a "box" electric run up to 420 kilometers is more than enough. All of this was what she said, couldn't believe it.
So with a half-belief attitude, considering that there is a fuel car used to save the emergency, how can it not lie on the high speed, so what about it, since you want to go crazy, then I will give up my life to accompany it.
However, the ending was not reversed or even a little prosaic, to my surprise, she expected, geometric C smoothly brought us to Maoming, when the power was still 6%, the first day was spent without surprise.
Eating a smooth and delicious dustpan cook, I asked curiously why I was so sure not to recharge in the first place, and she said with a bad smile that she had once driven a geometric A. So I was secretly glad that I didn't gamble something at a loss, otherwise I would lose a lot.
Accelerate, accelerate, accelerate again
With the experience of the previous day, on the way to Huizhou the next day, I no longer had any doubts about the endurance of the Geometry C, and this journey has really begun.
Many people know that Huizhou is a famous scenic spot in Guangdong, but they do not know that Maoming is the same. Because on the city's 248-kilometer coastline, there is a beautiful scenery known as "China's first beach".
However, the sea of Maoming is not so widely known, and it is not a must-visit place for Guangdong tourism, so Maoming Beach, which is less popular, is exactly where you can visit here.
The few tourists on the beach make the scenery extremely beautiful, and the sea and sky line is no longer a chaotic crowd. There are fewer people, less carbon emissions, and the air is naturally good. Here I can't help but think that the country is committed to the development of new energy vehicles, the purpose of which is to reduce carbon emissions, so look at the geometric C around you, it seems to be more eyebrow-clearing.
Tasting the local cuisine of Maoming, looking at the waves lapping at the beach, basking in some scorching sunshine, time sneaks away unconsciously, and when it is found, the sun has been hanging obliquely in the sky, which reminds us that we seem to have a long distance from the destination huizhou, and we have to cross the extremely busy Pearl River Delta road network, and I am afraid that I am really going to miss the trip.
As a pure electric SUV, the movement of the geometric C shuttle on the high speed is much quieter than that of the fuel car. With a speed limit of 120km/h, without the roar of the engine, with excellent NVH performance, there will only be a little wind noise in the ears, and the road noise will be offset by the set of Michelin Haoyue 4 tires that are mainly silent and comfortable, so the BOSE sound composed of 9 speakers in the cockpit can also maximize its outstanding sound effects.
To be honest, from a fuel vehicle to a pure electric vehicle, the experience transformation of the power alone is actually not as difficult as imagined. In addition to the lack of refreshing engine sound, the geometric C's 100-kilometer acceleration performance of only 7 seconds is enough to kill most of the fuel vehicles on the market, and the extremely linear and smooth acceleration process of pure electric vehicles is also incomparable to traditional gearboxes.
As for the problem of the weakness of the rear section of pure electric vehicles that many people worry about, at least in geometric C, it does not appear at all within the allowable range of traffic regulations. Driving the Geometry C makes it easy to maintain a cruising speed of 120km/h without the need to step on the electric door deeply. At this time, if you want to continue to accelerate, you will also find that geometry C still has a relatively abundant power reserve.
Of course, due to the power characteristics of the motor, the power consumption of geometric C to maintain high-speed cruising for a long time is indeed much higher than that of low and medium speeds, but it can also easily ensure that the endurance is at least 350 kilometers or more. And the service areas along the southeast coast have popularized charging piles and supported the 120kW fast charging of geometric C, so this is not a big deal. The more than half an hour of charging can be used to relax and eliminate driving fatigue.
Damei Huizhou, Damei Geometry C
Compared with Maoming, Huizhou's coastline is much more famous. Not only has the famous Xunliao Bay, Shuangyue Bay, Shili Silver Beach, Eastern Bay, Gold Coast and other beach views, but also many pristine islands far from the land, attracting countless donkey friends to go sightseeing, no wonder just by virtue of the appearance of the beach, it is known as the most beautiful sea viewing resort in Guangdong.
Speaking of appearance, geometric C also has several postures. Adhering to the brand's unique design concept of "multi-dimensional flowing life", the body curve is very smooth, and the contour line from front to back is almost in one go. In between, the one-piece spoiler suspension roof, the hidden door handle, the fluid style main waistline... And so on, these pursuit of aerodynamic design, but also the achievement of its 0.273Cd ultra-low drag coefficient.
The interior is biased towards the home style, and the light gray color scheme and simple and bright lines look very refreshing. When you come to Huizhou, the night view is naturally not to be missed. Like the Whampoa Bund in Shanghai, Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong, and Chaotianmen in Chongqing, the night view of Daya Bay in Huizhou is also a local must-see, and the lights of the buildings and various staggered light shows are dazzling.
The most recognizable part of geometry C is actually related to lighting. Usually we say that Audi is a lamp factory, and this time it seems that geometry is no exception. The headlights composed of 80 LEDs not only have a sharp shape, but also adopt a matrix design that is rare at the same level, which is really enough money. The rear taillights are even more stunning. The 1.2-meter-wide through design is the most popular style at the moment, and Geometry C also designs a flowing water dynamic effect on this basis.

After sleeping until the third pole of the day, the time to say goodbye to Geometric C is getting closer and closer, and there seems to be more and more reluctance in the mood, and the little sister also came over and quipped whether this is a trip that can be said to be walked.
One thing to say, before this trip, I did have a lot of prejudices and incomprehensions about pure electric vehicles, but the performance of Geometric C also refreshed my view of pure electric vehicles.
In the past, we always said that fuel vehicles can leave at any time, but with the gradual improvement of domestic charging facilities, especially the charging facilities in the service area of the highway network, geometric C can also come to the last wayward immediate departure, such as the pure electric vehicles with green cards hanging on this road, the number is obviously a lot more.
It can be seen that it is time to take a pure electric journey that can be walked away.
