  Netflix announced that the new animated movie "Connected", created by the production team of Spider-Man: Parallel Universe, will be launched on Netflix on April 30, with a world premiere (excluding Chinese mainland), along with a new trailer.

  The title of the official Chinese was also changed to "The Mitchells vs. the Machines." The film was originally released by Sony Pictures, and the earlier schedule was September 16, 2020, and was later withdrawn. Sony Pictures has since sold the film to Netflix for $110 million, canceling the theatrical release plans.

  Smart Strikes Back is an adventurous comedy animated film directed by Weird Town director Michael Leanda, with Phil Rod and Christopher Miller, producers of Spider-Man: Parallel Universes, and Lego Movies, as producers.

  The story tells: Katie Michelle, a witty and creative magical girl, is admitted to her dream film school, and her family decides to send her to school together to enhance family feelings. Unexpectedly, a disaster disrupted the Michelles' plans: the electronic smart devices around people suddenly launched an attack on humans, from mobile phones to household appliances, including the latest robots. With the help of two friendly malfunctioning robots, the Michelle family decided to come together to save the world from runaway smart technology!

  Netflix also unveiled a new cast of dubbed casts, including Fred Amison, Baker Bennett, Christine Tegan and husband John Legend, Charlene Easy, late-night host Conan O'Brien, Sassir Zamata, Jay Farrow, Alex Hersh, Griffin McIlroy and Al Mills, among others. Earlier announcements include Abby Jacobson (voice actress Michelle), Maya Rudolph and Olivia Coleman.

  The animated film "Spider-Man: Parallel Universe", released in 2018, is one of the few animated films that has doubled in box office word-of-mouth in recent years. The film cost $90 million to produce and grossed $375.5 million in a global atmosphere ($190 million in North America, $427 million Chinese mainland). The film has a Rotten Tomatoes freshness rating of 97%, a popcorn index of 93%, an IMDb score of 8.4 points, and a Douban score of 8.6 points, and has won many awards such as the 91st Oscars, the 76th Golden Globe Awards, and the 46th Annie Awards.
