According to USA Today, Broadway actor Nick Cordero died on Sunday at the age of 41. During his fight against covid-19, he gained the support of numerous new fans around the world.

Cordero was initially thought to be suffering from pneumonia and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at the end of March. His first test for COVID-19 was negative, but the next test was positive.

Over the course of 13 weeks, Cordero experienced many serious complications, including amputation, lung infections and implantation of a temporary pacemaker.

The Canadian-born actor was nominated for a 2014 Tony Award for his role on Bullets On Broadway, where he also starred in The Rock 'n' Roll Years, The Waitress and The Bronx's Tales.

Cordero has shown signs of improvement before, but his covid-19 complications are too many to overcome. The Broadway star regained consciousness in early May after months in a coma, but his wife, Cruz, said her husband was unable to move or speak by mid-June, in part due to significant weight loss due to muscle atrophy.

On Sunday, Cruz and his friends performed the song "Live Your Life" for Cordro for the last time and ended his farewell to Cordro on social apps.
