Daniel's pipeline was opened, and he did whatever it took, including humiliation, for oil.
Daniel's grudge against Eli deepened.
Time jumps to 1927, and the camera walks past the Daniel Mansion. After 29 years of accumulation, he made a lot of money, and he sat in a deep, dark room. The son came to him with an assistant and asked to leave his family business and go to Mexico alone.
