As the train departs for spring, the Dahua Trail also ushers in "Spring". The iron railing of about 500 meters along the trail has been carefully painted by Guo Zhaoping and his colleagues and turned into a "wooden railing", making the "train to spring" more springy.
Guo Zhaoping, 56, is a road maintenance construction worker at the Yuzhong District Municipal Facilities Maintenance and Management Center. Engaged in road maintenance work for 38 years, he shuttled through the streets and alleys of various maintenance sites every day, from the initial "stonemason" to the "living map" in Yuzhong.
"Living Map"
Walk more than 20,000 steps a day "The feet are big"
"He was either on the spot or on his way to the scene." In the eyes of colleagues, Guo Zhaoping is a "workaholic". The maintenance office of the Yuzhong District Municipal Facilities Maintenance and Management Center where he is located is mainly responsible for the maintenance of all the sidewalks, lanes, back streets, trails and other roads in Yuzhong District.
"The job was more tiring than I thought. But I've loved it since I was a kid. Guo Zhaoping said that his father is also engaged in the maintenance of municipal facilities, so since he was a child, he has had a special feeling for the maintenance of municipal facilities.
When he first joined the work, Guo Zhaoping often repaired the damaged pavement at the road maintenance site and carried large stones, so he gave himself the nickname of "stonemason".
Because of work, walking has become Guo Zhaoping's daily life. He walks an average of more than 20,000 steps a day to solve road maintenance problems large and small.
Sometimes there are too many roads to walk in a day, Guo Zhaoping went home to take off his shoes and rested for a while, and when he went out with his shoes again, he found that his feet were swollen and his feet could not be worn. He joked that his "feet are getting bigger." ”
Today, Guo Zhaoping has already traveled through the streets and alleys of Yuzhong District and has become a veritable "living map" of Yuzhong. Say the number of house numbers in a back alley, and he can tell how to go.

Although Guo Zhaoping has long been a "teacher" of road maintenance, his innovation in work is not inferior to that of young people. Colleagues praised him as a "king of ideas." In the process of road maintenance, Guo Zhaoping actively thinks about continuous innovation, and makes full use of new processes and new materials to improve the quality and efficiency of road maintenance work. This spring, Fotuguan's "train to spring" became more springy because of one of Guo Zhaoping's innovations.
At the beginning of this year, when Guo Zhaoping was working on the closed Daijia Lane trail, he found that workers were spraying the iron railings, and the iron railings that had been sprayed and processed were like wooden railings, improving the landscape and quality of the trail.
"I was wondering if this could be used on the railings of other trails." After consulting with his colleagues, Guo Zhaoping decided to try it on the iron railing of the Dahua Trail. However, Guo Zhaoping soon discovered that the spraying method of the railings of the Daijia Lane Trail was not suitable for the Dahua Trail. Because the Dahua Trail was already open to the public at that time, the spraying operation would affect pedestrian traffic. But Guo Zhaoping did not give up, he and his colleagues repeatedly selected materials, experimented, improved the work tools to paint the iron railing, and finally achieved a more perfect effect. Not only has the iron railing become a "wooden railing", but the operating cost is only one-third of the original process.
"Old Expert"
Research while doing to solve the "difficult diseases" of the road
Continuous learning at work is Guo Zhaoping's self-requirement. After 38 years of work, Guo Zhaoping has become an "old expert" in road maintenance. Guo Zhaoping will always try his best to solve the "difficult and complicated diseases" on the road.
In his view, road maintenance work will encounter a variety of new problems, and it must be done while researching to find a better solution.
A few years ago, Guo Zhaoping found in his work that the roads around the bus station were difficult to cure due to the frequency of bus rolling and uneven force, resulting in more ruts, hugging, and pits.
Guo Zhaoping conducted a special study on this issue with colleagues. After countless discussions and tests with asphalt manufacturers and construction units, Guo Zhaoping found that by adding different proportions of high-viscosity polymers to the asphalt, improving the ratio of asphalt oilstone, and improving the original construction process, the road surface pressure resistance, tensile resistance, rutting resistance and other problems can be effectively increased.
Guo Zhaoping summed up the solution to the problem, and has carried out experimental construction at bus stations such as Niujiaotuo Bus Hub Station, and achieved good results. Next, more bus stops in Yuzhong District will be renovated to improve road quality.
