On October 27, the reporter learned from the Henan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources that the bureau made a major breakthrough in prospecting in the area of Weishan City in Zhuzhuang Town, Tongbai County, and found a very large gold mine.

A total of 16 gold ore bodies have been found, and the preliminary estimate can obtain gold reserves of 31.55 tons, which is a very large gold mine; by the end of this year, it is expected to exceed 50 tons, which is another major achievement of gold exploration in our province in the past three years. For decades, Henan's annual gold production has ranked second in the country.

In 2016, the Department of Land and Resources of Henan Province discovered a very large gold mine in the deep and peripheral census project of the Laowan Gold Mine in Tongbai County, In the Tongbaishan area of Henan Province, with a gold content of about 105 tons and can be dug for 80 years.

It is reported that the gold mine is located in the deep and outer parts of the Laowan Gold Mine in Tongbai County, Tongbai Mountain, and the newly discovered gold resources are expected to be 104,960 kg, and the associated silver resources are expected to be 122,038 kg. In addition to the discovery of extra-large gold mines, a large number of natural alkali, lead and zinc mineral resources have also been newly discovered.
