The Paladin at the End of the World is an anime about a child named Will, who, under the guidance of three undead, ghosts, skeletons, and mummies, grows up and embarks on the path to the Paladin.
After watching the first episode of the anime, as an anime party, in fact, the senses are quite good.
But looking at the reviews, many novel parties are not very satisfied, feel that the pace is too fast, omit a lot, the atmosphere is not enough and other issues, almost said to be tragically animated.
So last night I stayed up late and looked at the first part of the novel, and found that I did omit some of it, but it was fine, not so bad.
Let's briefly talk about a few characters in the anime.
1. Will – William W. G. Mary Bradeau
Will is the protagonist of this anime,
He has memories of his past life as an Earthling.
So he was able to rely on memory, quickly understand what Gus said, and be able to draw examples and repeat themselves.
Because he had not been able to live well in his previous life, he decided to live well in this life.
He regarded Mary as his mother, Brado as his father, and Gus as his grandfather.
Will's last full name was: William W. G. Mary Bradeau
1. Mary – the beloved daughter of Mother Earth
Mary was once known as the "beloved daughter of mother earth" and possessed a strong prayer technique that could save people from their near-death state.
She worshipped mother earth, a god she had been worshipping since her death.
But now that she was an undead, she would burn all over her body with a prayer, and severe pain would spread throughout her body.
Before Will came, she prayed so unafraid of pain.
After Will came, although she never spoke, the Earth Mother God still chose to give her bread and holy food every day.
Don't look at Mary as a mummy now, but she was a beautiful woman before she was born.
2. Bradeau – War Ghost
Bradeau was once known as the "War Ghost", super strong in swordsmanship, only this was the king of the crusade.
He was a man of muscle and a heroic personality.
But now he was a skeleton, and there was not even anything worthy of meat.
He admired absolute power, believing that skill always had an environment in which it could not be used, but power could not.
So when he exercised Will, he was getting him to eat and build muscle constantly.
But don't look at Brado like this, in fact, he is still a delicate person, he is very angry that Gus said abandoned words in front of Will, he is afraid that young Will will be hurt by this.
3. Gus (Gass) – the wandering sage
Gus was once known as the "Wandering Sage", and his magic was super powerful, and he even destroyed the immortal gods.
He was a man who liked money and thought it was something more omnipotent than magic.
But now that he was a ghost, he didn't even have the chance to touch the gold coins.
The magic of this world is a kind of "language", as long as it is "written" and "spoken" by that language, its power can be displayed, such as writing "flame", which can appear out of thin air.
This language belongs to the "language of creation", while the language and writing they usually use belong to the "popular language"
This kind of magic seems to have no price, but it is very dangerous, and if you are not careful, say the wrong sound, write the wrong word, it will eat the magician himself.
So Gus had been teaching Will that if you can use magic, you can use magic without magic, and you can use small magic to use small magic, so that you don't have to take too much risk. (But this old man, he himself has used four super powerful magic at the same time)
Mary taught Will the priests to pray and pray, and it was the tenderness of the mother.
Brado taught Will swordsmanship and responsibility and was a father of reliability.
Gus taught Will knowledge and magic, and was grandpa's profound knowledge.
The warmth between Will, Mary, Bradeau, and Gus is indeed quite touching.
The "Paladin at the End of the World" novel is really good, the anime is not bad, you can go to see it if you like it.
