One day in the middle of summer, I avoided the heat wave and came to Shanghai's largest and most wonderful resort for Iowa people - The Lotus Expo Park in Luhua Town, Chongming Island. The garden covers an area of 560 acres, including more than 350 varieties of ornamental lotus, fragrant lotus, vegetable lotus and so on. There are also rare varieties such as "space lotus" cultivated from space and "ancient lotus" transplanted from Liaoning. According to the convention, the lotus flower is generally a seven-leaf flower, but the space lotus is a leaf and a flower, and has the characteristics of many flowers, long flowering period, large lotus canopy, high fruiting rate, large particle size, excellent quality, etc., and the yield of lotus per mu can reach more than 6,000.
Friends two or three, meet together, if you are at the edge of the lotus pond, only to see the slow flow of the stream, the lotus blossoms; a hundred acres of lotus pond, overlooking the ups and downs. Enjoy the lotus breeze on the wooden stack, and enjoy the lotus fragrance in the gallery pavilion. Looking around, in the lotus pond, like a green umbrella that is propped open, or floating on the surface of the water, or probing high on the blue waves, as if layers of green waves, and like pieces of jade, a pond of clear water ripples cool, green and green. And the enchanting lotus flowers, like noble fairies, exposed in the bright sunshine, with a holy smile, standing on top of the lotus leaves, swaying in the wisps of fresh wind, which is tempting. Walking on the wooden boardwalk in the garden, it is like walking in the lotus bushes, dense turns, wide and large lotus leaves cover the entire lotus pond, the green cover red clothes pour in, a beautiful natural picture gradually spreads out, as if entering a dream world, making people feel dizzy, cool and comfortable. The snow-white, pink budding lotus arrows are full of emotion and expectation, and the colorful lotus flowers bloom with grace and enthusiasm. The rich and fragrant fragrance around it, with the ripples of the pleated skirt, slowly drifts in and out of the heart. Three or three small fish floated to the surface, swimming around the lotus flower and pecking at the ripples of the waves in the dream. Enjoy thousands of lotus gestures up close, taste the lotus rhyme of "floating incense around the curved shore, round shadow covering the huachi pool", and suddenly feel refreshed and comfortable.
In addition to lotus viewing, it is also a science and technology museum integrating lotus seed production and processing, breeding of fine seeds, and popular science education, where visitors can taste various snacks cooked with lotus roots, such as fresh lotus roots, fresh lotus roots, quick-frozen lotus leaves, lotus leaf health tea, lotus powder, lotus juice and lotus ribbons, which are rare foods in other places.
