"Snow Lady" is the "cold beauty" in the dim sum heart, the "Yang Guifei" in the dim sum heart, and the Japanese call it "Yukimi Daifuku".

Chinese returned home after a trip to Japan, and liked to bring a little bit of prince, sake, ring cake, and squirrel as souvenirs. Among them, it is the cheapest and most despised by tourists - cough, that is not China's glutinous rice dumplings!
To be precise, it means dim sum. Japanese glutinous rice dumplings are just one of the varieties of ryū, and "Daifuku" is its standard name.
From the fourth year of Zhenguan (630), a dozen Envoys to the Tang Dynasty brought many Chinese dim sum to Japan, and according to records, there were at least eight kinds of "Tang Fruits" such as plum branches, peach branches, gehu, guixin, sticky navels, biluo, awls, and Tuanxi. A menu preserved in the 12th-13th century Japanese book Cook Chronicle also mentions "Tang Guozi".
Unfortunately, what those "Tang Fruits" look like is no longer available, and perhaps "Dafu" is one of them. The Chinese dim sum that can dock with "Dafuku" is "Yuanyuan Fin".
According to legend, during the Southern Song Dynasty, Zou Yinglong, a Scholar from Fujian Province, went to Beijing to take the exam, and his neighbors sent him rice dumplings for him to eat on the road. In the end, Zou Yinglongdian excelled in the examination, and in the second year of Qingyuan (1196), he was enlarged by Emperor Zhao of Song Ningzong. Therefore, he took the opportunity to "promote" the rice dumplings in his hometown to the emperor to taste, and as a result, Long Yan was very happy, full of praise, and gave him the name "Zhuangyuan Fin".
I don't quite believe the many legends about food, but this time there are some exceptions: first, there is indeed Zou Yinglong and his people in history; second, the era in which Song Ningzong and Zou Yinglong lived coincided with the publication time of the "Kitchen Chronicle", and the relationship between the origin of "Dafu" and "Zhuangyuan Fin" was vaguely visible.
It should be clarified that "Daifuku" contains filling, and "Yuanyuan Fin" does not contain filling. So, will the "ancient" state of "Daifuku" also be without filling? Totally possible. Taking a step back, even if "Zhuangyuan Fin" does not contain filling, it does not mean that China cannot come up with the same "glutinous rice fin" as "Dafu", such as mochi and glutinous rice dumplings... If it were not for the difference in size and form, a large wave of Chinese "Daifuku" would have long ago recognized their clan relatives with the Japanese "Daifuku" and transcribed the genealogy.
However, the traditional "Daifuku" filling uses fresh fruit (strawberries, persimmons, mangoes, etc., the name depends on the filling), which is "not strong" in mochi, glutinous rice dumplings, and yuanyuan fins, not to mention the fashionable type - tiramisu, mousse, oreo crushed grains, French whipped cream are added.
Some people say that "Snow Lady" is a translation of the Japanese "Daifuku with Whipped Cream". Originally, I also thought so, but after consulting brother Zi Ping, a Japanese literary translator living in Osaka, I learned that whether it was "Tsutomu" or "Daifuku", there was no such thing as "Snow Lady".
So, according to the saying on the Internet, "Snow Beauty Lady" is the name of the female boss who is famous for "Daifuku" in Japan, right? Unfortunately, I didn't find it; and the information from Japan doesn't support this.
Think about it also feel absurd, Japanese women named "Sachiko", "Keiko", "Liangzi" and "Junko", even if "peach", "Yuriko" and "vegetables", will not make people feel abrupt, only this "snow beauty", fragrant and charming, really not.
In fact, the Japanese call it "Yukimi Daifuku", which can be called "Ice Cream Daifuku", which is the "Snow Lady" that Chinese foodies are talking about.
Putting aside the unnecessary entanglement in the name, as a snack, the Chinese name "Xuemei Niang" is very good. "Snow", snow white, snow tender, not bad; charming, charming, charming, extraordinary; niang, perhaps people think of the half-old Xu Niang in "Nanshi Houfei Biography", think of the fierce Sun Erniang in "Water Margin", think of the rude Aunt Zhao in "Dream of the Red Chamber". However, do you know the age at which wu Zetian became a martial artist in the legend? 14 years old, flower girl! "Niangniang", in ancient times, was still a royal title. The word "mother" is used properly!
Comparing a dim sum to a woman who is gelatinous, delicate and boneless, and is in the age of cardamom, I can't see any sinister intentions, but "Xi Shi Milk" and "Xi Shi Tongue" inevitably give people the space to think about wrong, why don't you report to the Industrial and Commercial Bureau?
Just like the message conveyed by its name, the entity of "XueMeiniang" meets the standard of "Bai Meifu" - "white" and "beauty" needless to say, the round, plump and rich figure advocated by Tang Dynasty women is an indispensable element of "Xuemeiniang".
The temperament of "Snow Lady" is closer to the image of "smoke cage cold water moon cage sand", small but not clumsy, mysterious but not blunt, soft but not stiff, cold and arrogant but not enthusiastic. Gently biting through a small piece of ice skin, a stream of fresh milk is slowly squeezed out, and the delicate and soft skin and smooth and smooth fresh milk are intertwined and intertwined, and the taste is really wonderful.
"Snow Lady" is the "cold beauty" in the dim sum, and the "Yang Guifei" in the dim sum! It's different. Make the "Snow Lady" like a small steamed bun, the twists and turns of the double brewing ball, the raw fried steamed buns, the donkey rolling solid, that is Yang Yuhuan who has not yet entered the palace! The aura is not right.
If someone invites me to dinner; if the dim sum is arranged with char siu crisp or raw fried steamed buns; if I am allowed to adjust according to my preferences and make up for the resulting difference, I would like to ask the host to help me replace it with "Snow Lady". Of course, I knew very well that the master would not let me pay for it out of his own pocket, but the consequences were serious: that kind of unreasonable, rude behavior would only be tolerated once, and the next time, oh, there would be no next time - who would invite the eventful person who was clamoring to eat "Snow Lady" to dinner?
