On the 3rd local time, the police in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, arrested a 60-year-old man who was suspected of running away after shooting and seriously injuring a member of the Yamaguchi Group in August this year. The man, named Koji Nakata, is the core figure of the Kobe Yamaguchi Group, a rival gang of the "Yamaguchi Group".

According to Japan's "Sankei Shimbun" reported on the 4th, on August 21 this year, a 51-year-old member of the Yamaguchi Group, a designated violence group in Japan, was shot in front of his office in the chuo ward of Kobe City, and was seriously injured, and a gunman wearing a helmet and riding a black motorcycle subsequently fled the scene.

Two days later, 600 meters south of the crime scene, police found a black motorcycle that the suspected gunman had previously driven. A few days later, in a parking lot 2.5 kilometers from the scene, a white motorcycle after the suspected gunman's transfer was found.

The police then continued to investigate the surveillance footage and found that a man drove the white motorcycle into Nakata's home on the day of the crime. After analyzing the footage, the police determined that Nakata was the gunman and began to track down his whereabouts. It is reported that Nakata is the leader of the "Yamaken Group" core group of the "Kobe Yamaguchi Group".

Hyogo Prefectural Police then issued an arrest warrant on suspicion of attempted homicide, and on the 3rd, they found Nakata in Osaka City and arrested him on the spot.

Since April this year, after a senior member of the "Kobe Yamaguchi Group" was stabbed by members of the "Yamaguchi Group", the conflict between the two gangs has intensified.

After Nakata, who was arrested this time, seriously injured members of the Yamaguchi Group in August, the Yamaguchi Group began retaliatory attacks on the Kobe Yamaguchi Group.

On the afternoon of October 10, a 68-year-old member of the "Yamaguchi Group" shot and killed two members of the "Kobe Yamaguchi Group" in the street.

On the evening of October 11, the Hyogo Prefectural Police issued an urgent order to restrict the use of 11 facilities on both sides of the "Yamaguchi Group" and the "Kobe Yamaguchi Group", and dispatched 180 police forces to surround the headquarters of both sides.

On the evening of November 27, a senior member of the "Kobe Yamaguchi Group" was killed in the streets of Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, by a former member of the "Yamaguchi Group" shooting more than 30 rounds at Binayoku with an American automatic rifle.

The police suspect that Asahina left the "Yamaguchi Group" earlier in order to clear the disguised strategy of the relationship and continue to investigate whether the incident was related to the conflict between the two gangs.

The police also said that since Nakata, who was arrested on the 3rd, is a core member of the "Kobe Yamaguchi Group", it may have a direct impact on the conflict between the two gangs. Japan's major gangs are said to be aging, and the police say there are fewer and fewer young people in groups who can take on assassination missions.
