The police then continued to investigate the surveillance footage and found that a man drove the white motorcycle into Nakata's home on the day of the crime. After analyzing the footage, the police determined that Nakata was the gunman and began to track down his whereabouts. It is reported that Nakata is the leader of the "Yamaken Group" core group of the "Kobe Yamaguchi Group".
Hyogo Prefectural Police then issued an arrest warrant on suspicion of attempted homicide, and on the 3rd, they found Nakata in Osaka City and arrested him on the spot.
