On the 13th, the China Consumers Association released the "2020 60 Rural Bazaars "Re-Experience" Survey Report". The report shows that the governance of the consumer environment in China's rural bazaars has achieved positive results, and more than 80% of consumers believe that the rural bazaar environment has been improved.
However, Tang Zhe, a cadre of the Commodity Supervision Department of the China Consumer Association, said that some problems were also found in the field experience investigation process, and the growth of counterfeit, shoddy, "three noes" and expired goods in rural bazaars rebounded.
Aged "old bread" and "foreign toothpaste" are still on sale
Through the re-investigation of the 60 rural bazaars with relatively many problems, it was found that the number of markets with suspected problematic commodities increased by 5 compared with the previous year, reaching 41, and the number increased without decreasing.
Tang Zhe
In the course of the investigation of a bazaar in Gaopeng Town, Baoding, Hebei Province, we saw a "foreign brand" toothpaste, and found that its production date was November 26, 2015, and the shelf life was three years, but in fact, when we went to experience the survey, it was September 2020, which had expired for more than a year, but it was still on sale.
In September 2020, in the Dandong fruit and vegetable wholesale market in Liaoning Province, a 5-month-old "old bread" was still on sale, and it was also named by the China Consumer Association.
The flow of people in this market is also relatively large, and I believe that this is not just a problem of a single product, it may be that this box or this whole bag of products has expired.
Survey data show that about a quarter of consumers reported encountering counterfeit and shoddy products or "three noes" products in rural bazaars.
"Convenient rights protection" and "after-sales service" have become the shortcomings of consumer perception and evaluation
Zhu Cambridge, secretary general of the China Consumer Association, said bluntly that the supply layout of consumer rights protection in rural areas is seriously insufficient.

In fact, there are many problems of consumer risk, and it is difficult to protect consumer rights, slow to deal with, and the results are not satisfied, which is indeed a prominent shortcoming affecting consumer confidence. To enhance consumer confidence by increasing the supply of consumer rights protection, it is necessary to promote simultaneously in both urban and rural areas. Especially in rural areas, the current layout of consumer rights protection supply is seriously insufficient in rural areas.

On the one hand, the problem commodities in rural areas have not decreased, but have increased, on the one hand, the ever-increasing consumption potential of rural markets has been "targeted". A large number of goods poured into rural bazaars, and some unscrupulous merchants tried to mix their eyes, and problem goods followed. On the other hand, it also shows that the quality consumption awareness of rural residents needs to be enhanced, there are shortcomings in the supervision of rural bazaars, and the implementation of the main responsibility of operators is far from enough.
The market supervision department needs to dredge the "capillaries" of management as soon as possible and strengthen the refined management of rural bazaars:
Strictly implement the "blacklist" system for creditworthy management;
Actively set up complaint service windows in rural bazaars to clear channels for consumer complaints and suggestions;
Resolutely crack down on illegal acts in the bazaar.
The blueprint for rural revitalization has been opened,
Only the vast number of farmers can "consume", "dare to consume", "consume with peace of mind",
Only when the revitalization of the rural consumer market can it become a reality at an early date.
We must not let the countryside become a flooding place for commodities such as "three noes"!
