Recently, the Banyang community in Zichuan District, Zibo City, held a women's council to discuss the issue of summer trusteeship that the masses are concerned about.
After full discussion by the community women's council and the solicitation of opinions from the residents of the jurisdiction, the community decided to hold two custody classes in the women's and children's home to solve the problem of residents watching children in the summer.
In the course of studying and educating on party history, how can we do practical things for the masses and solve difficult problems? The Zichuan District Women's Federation explored the establishment of women's councils in villages, created a "blossoming" discussion brand, uniformly printed the "Women's Council Work Manual", standardized deliberative activities, and guided women to participate in grass-roots democratic construction and social governance.
In the past, village neighborhood committees often adopted the method of "direct service and making decisions on behalf of the people", which could not meet the increasingly diverse needs of residents. In order to transform the way of service, so that residents from "passively accepted audiences" to "active participation in decision-making protagonists", the "Panyang Blossom" women's council came into being. Everyone discusses government affairs, village affairs, family affairs, and peripheral affairs, and promotes self-education, self-management, self-service, and self-growth in deliberations... The Women's Council will extend the tentacles of women's organizations to the last centimeter of women's lives and become a platform, bridge and link for the majority of women to participate in grass-roots social governance.
Centralized deliberations, on-site deliberations, door-to-door deliberations, WeChat deliberations, flexible and diverse deliberative methods, so that the women masses can make their voices heard anytime and anywhere; the difficulty of seeing children, parking difficulties, square dancing disturbing the people, raising dogs without tethers, close to the needs of the masses, let more and more women sit together, on the village governance, civilization creation, women's rights and interests, volunteer service and other work suggestions, smooth the channels of appeal, enhance the right to speak.
Up to now, all 446 villages in the region have established women's councils, carried out women's deliberative activities 470 times, collected 264 women's opinions, and resolved 187 contradictions and disputes. The women's council has become an effective carrier for women's federation organizations to unite women's masses and an important platform for grass-roots women to participate in social governance.
