Mr. Yan Huiqing was born on April 2, 1877, from Hongkou, Shanghai.

Mr. Yan Huiqing went to the United States to study in 1895 and graduated from the University of Virginia with full honors in 1900. In 1900, he returned to China to teach at St. John's University, and in 1908, he went to the United States as a counselor and began to enter the diplomatic arena, and in 1909 he was recalled to China as the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1913, he became the Minister of the Republic of China to Germany, and since then he has served as Foreign Minister and Prime Minister. Unable to exercise his ambitions due to domestic political instability, he stayed away from politics in 1926 and concentrated on industry. After the September 18 Incident in 1931, under the conscription of the state, he continued to act as a foreign affairs and safeguard the national interests. After the founding of New China, Yan Huiqing served as a member of the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese People's Republic of China, a member of the Central Government Council, and other important positions.

Mr. Yan Huiqing's life has gone through different periods such as the Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China, and New China, and he has seen the glory years of modern China. However, his heart for the country and the people has never changed throughout his life. In diplomacy, he upholds justice, defends national sovereignty, plays a central role in important international conferences such as the Paris Peace Conference and the Washington Conference, resolutely safeguards China's international status and dignity, and reconstructs the principles of China's diplomacy. In the end, Yan Huiqing first rejected Chiang Kai-shek's solicitation, resolutely threw himself into the people, and made contributions to the construction of new China.
