From Jiuchong Tianxia Mountain, through Jiaotai Village, to liantai mountain, located in Jinan Changqing District Zhangxia Town Tongming Mountain Yijing Temple, the ancestral court of Master Yijing.
Originally known as Shuangquan Temple, Yijing Temple was built during the Sui and Tang dynasties, and was the lower house of the Tugu Temple, where Master Yijing was ordained, and also the temple where Master Yijing was stationed in Xi.
From a distance, Tongming Mountain looks like two reclining Buddhas, lying on their backs on the top of the mountain, and Yijing Temple is located in the belly of the Buddha.
Ancient springs and ancient trees, blue sky and white clouds, green bamboo drizzle, Sanskrit sound is long. Yijing Temple is divided into old temples and new temples, surrounded by rolling mountains and pines and cypresses, which are magnificent and staggered.
Although the double spring in the old temple has been more than a thousand years old, it is still babbling and flowing all year round. The thousand-year-old inscription tells about the vicissitudes of the past, and what is particularly rare is that the true handiwork of Master Yijing, "Flowers and rain are colorful, the branches of the trees are combined with the shells, and the incense clouds are swirling in the shadows of the ephemeral flowers" still exists in front of the main hall.
In the history of Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty, only Master Yijing was a great figure comparable to Xuanzang, and he was also a senior monk who traveled west to seek the Dharma.
Together with the Eastern Jin Dynasty Master Fa Xian and the Tang Dynasty Xuanzang, he was known as the Three Great Dharma Seekers, and together with the Post-Qin Dynasty Kumarosh, the Liang Dynasty True Truth Master, and Xuanzang, he was also known as the Four Great Translators.
Nowadays, dozens of solemn halls in the Yijing Temple complex are integrated, and the daxiong Treasure Hall, the Medicine Master Hall, the Yuantong Treasure Hall, the Yijing Master Memorial Hall, the Ban Ruo Hall, the Dharma Hall, the Tibetan Scripture Building, the Yijing Temple Library and other halls and buildings are lined up, and the buildings stretch from north to south, and the scale is magnificent.
Every morning in the temple, the bells and drums, the sound of Buddhist music, and the incense clouds swirled around, stopping in the middle of it, rejoicing, making people happy and unforgettable, and admiring the fact that there is such a sacred mirror for cultivation in the Tongming Mountain.
