In 2017, Yangbai Primary School took the lead in building a safety education experience room in the county, and the "experience + education" model made the safety knowledge in the textbook "alive".
First, the teaching system of the safety experience room is institutionalized. Our school has established and improved the assessment program of the organic integration of safety experience room and safety education, and insisted on linking safety education, safety management, safety publicity and the distribution of rewarded performance wages for teachers and staff; and adhered to the link between safety education, safety management and safety publicity with teacher evaluation and promotion. Safety management implements the "one post double responsibility system", pays attention to safety prevention, strictly implements the safety management responsibility accountability system and the "one-vote veto system", and the management system is scientific, fair and democratic, which stimulates the enthusiasm and sense of responsibility of faculty and staff safety management.
The second is the curriculum of teaching and management of the safety experience room. The safety experience room takes life ecology and safety as the main line, takes the "experiential + situational" activities as the carrier, combines the actual characteristics of primary school students, and covers safety modules including fire safety, production safety, campus safety, road traffic, life safety education, etc., and each module is equipped with corresponding teaching facilities. The safety education classroom will be moved into the experience room, the teachers will be trained, and the school-based textbook of safety education will be printed by the editor-in-chief to ensure the teaching time, so as to realize the curriculum of safety education, the experientialization of curriculum education, and the life of experiential education. Through immersive safety experience and inquiry-based deep learning, students can master the safety knowledge and survival skills of fire fighting equipment use, knotted rope training, alarm training, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, trauma care, traffic safety, drug prevention and other aspects from an early age.
The third is the effectiveness of teaching and management in the safety experience room. Through the normalization of safety education, safety training, safety publicity into the campus and other activities, the safety awareness of teachers and students has been enhanced; we have paid close attention to the investigation and management of potential safety hazards and emergency escape drills, improved the level of emergency handling of teachers and students, and paid attention to safety prevention. There are zero campus safety incidents and zero injuries.
