Perhaps for many Xinjiang people, especially for xinjiang fans, the two names of Maiwulan and Mulati are not only not unfamiliar, but also can be said to be familiar. Because, in the important historical period when our Xinjiang basketball broke through history and created the future, Mai Wulan and Mulati, as the twin stars of our local basketball in Xinjiang, were not only one of the witnesses of this important historical process, but also one of the participants. In my personal opinion, in a sense, the two of them should also be said to be an important iconic figure and representative figure in the turning point and breakthrough point of our Xinjiang basketball history. Because it was during their period that Xinjiang basketball achieved its own great leap forward and entered a new era of our own.
Needless to say, if you only talk about the role and status in the actual game, whether it is Mai Wulan or Mulati, it may not be the top pillar and wind vane on the Xinjiang team's competition field that year. However, what may not be denied so far is that the two of them were once the main or important representatives of our Xinjiang basketball and Xinjiang spirit in the hearts of Xinjiang fans, even in the hearts of fans across the country. To this day, perhaps many of our Xinjiang fans still clearly remember that whenever we were in the key games of the Xinjiang team, the key moments and the defense of key people, we could always see the figure of wulan and Mulati. In other words, at that time, the more the Xinjiang team was playing with the opponent, playing with life and playing extremely red-eyed, the more we could see Mai Wulan and Mulati standing up and charging forward.
I remember that in the finals of the Xinjiang team and the Guangdong team that year, our Muratti collided with the other party in the fierce confrontation, and at that time, the Muratti who was in the game was knocked on the head and broke the blood, which could not help but make all the spectators on the scene feel tight in their hearts. However, our Muratti returned to the field after a temporary dressing. Moreover, he is still so desperate, still so brave and tenacious...
In fact, even now that Wulan and Mulati have been retired for many years, even today, when our Xinjiang team has won the CBA championship, our team still needs or may need more is this kind of championship spirit of never giving up, fighting for the first place and selfless hard work. Sometimes, maybe it's more important than the need for a championship title to always be able to maintain the spirit of our kind of champion.
Speaking of which, whether in public or private, I have a deep relationship with both Mai wulan and Muratti. Yu Gong, I and the two of them can be regarded as a teacher-student relationship. Privately, I can also say that I am the elder or father of the two of them. Because, more than forty years ago, when I was a teenager, I was already playing with their parents or already being a golfer, a comrade-in-arms and a teammate. Although at that time, my father Tursun and Mai Wulan were one in the Xinjiang Military Region team and the other in the autonomous region team, we have since then become "opponents on the field, golfers off the field" and "no fights and no acquaintances" and have become brothers for a lifetime.
Tursun, the father of Mai Wulan, is 1.98 meters tall. He was the second center of the Xinjiang men's basketball team in that period in the 1970s (that is, the fourth position now), and he was also the second highest in the Xinjiang men's basketball team after Dazhu. When He was young, Tursun was not only tall and physically strong, but also very intelligent. Don't look at him before he arrived at the Xinjiang team, he only drove a carriage in his hometown shawan, but after arriving at the Xinjiang team, he showed a very high degree of sports talent. In my opinion, Tursun can be described as an all-rounder of the Xinjiang team who "can play and run on the field, and can speak well off the field". Not to mention that on weekdays, he has the ability to make a rumor, make a noise, blow a bull, and even tell a commentary on their team, and just by listening to Tursun's standard Mandarin, it may make us mainlanders even doubt our own lives. Of course, Tursun on the basketball court can still be said to be glorious. At that time, he was also the kind of powerful character in the Xinjiang team who "flew away from the ground and swept his legs" and "hit and fought, and prevented".
Above, the Xinjiang men's basketball team in the 1970s (the left one in the back row is Da Zhu, and the second left is Tursun)
It is said that in a match between the Xinjiang team and the Bayi team in Xi'an that year, Tursun, who knew that he could not beat the opponent, not only did not give up, but instead changed from passive to actively taking the game as his own performance. On that day, the Xinjiang team's defender "Gawazi" (Li Chunguang) saw that there was no one in front of him during a quick attack and gave Tursun a look that followed behind, and Tursun, who understood the spirit, also immediately rushed to the basket. At this time, the Gawazi who only saw the ball in his hand squatted, and Tursun, who had already followed behind him, also took advantage of the situation, and the two of them tacitly completed a "double lifting aerial dunk" that caused the whole audience to cheer and thunder.
However, Lao Tzu's hero is a good man, and blue is better than blue. In fact, in the body we later see Mai Wulan, he not only inherited his father's courage to fight and be brave and tenacious on the basketball court, but also inherited his father Turson's wisdom, cheerfulness and humor.
I remember that in 1999, Mai Wulan visited Almaty with the Urumqi basketball team. At the time of the train station, Tursun has been earnestly instructing Mai Wulan qian to go abroad for the first time. "Son, after going abroad, you must train well and compete." "Son, we must cherish this opportunity and work hard to improve ourselves!" "Son, foreign countries are different from domestic ones, you must pay attention to safety and train seriously." At this time, Mai Wulan interrupted Tursun's words with a hippie smile: "Dad, after saying so much, have you ever been abroad when you played?" I'm really going abroad!" ”......
If only I and My father (including his mother) were golfers and opponents on the pitch. Then Muratti's mother, Adalaiti, can be said to be really teammates and comrades in the sports team of a military district.
Also in August and September 1972, the xinjiang military region's sports team, which was being restored and rebuilt, recruited a large number of students with sports expertise and development prospects from the corps system in northern and southern Xinjiang to join the army. Among them were the Adalaiti and Bahaguri sisters, who had been recruited from the Seventh Division of Quytunnong. Moreover, I still remember the scene when the sisters first arrived at the team. Of course, at that time, it was not because of how high and good the skills and skills of the sisters were, but because the sisters were really more beautiful than the other.
Realistically speaking, when the Adalaiti sisters first arrived at the sports team, it can be said that in addition to their good physical condition, not only did they have no sports foundation at all, but their Chinese expression level was even more dare not compliment. At that time, it was often the hard work they said and the hard work we listened to. I remember that the first winter training of our sports team at the end of 1972 was in Foshan, Guangdong. At that time, many members of our team who grew up in Xinjiang were out of Xinjiang for the first time. So, from the time they got on the train, everything made them feel new, surprised and overwhelmed. For example, they dare not sleep at night when they see that the sleeping cars are actually "mixed"; for example, the roar of the train in the middle of the night will make them lose their appearance and even cry. The first time they were in Guangdong, Adalai mentioned that they were afraid to eat things they had never seen before, such as crabs, prawns, and turtles. I remember once after dinner she told me that today there was a long thing they lied to me about eggplant, how could I be fooled?! Our eggplant in Xinjiang is obviously round!

In the era of the southern conquest and northern war of our sports team, it should be said that Adalaiti, as a minority athlete, had a lot more effort and hard work than we had. Because, in addition to adhering to the professional training of "three from one", she also has to overcome too many adaptations and unaccustomed habits in various life and customs. However, it is precisely under such hard training and perseverance that Adalaiti not only grew up rapidly, but also quickly became the main backbone of the team. Since then, many times in the whole army and the national competition, we have won one honor after another for our Xinjiang troops.
Don't look at Adaleti as competitive and focused when he was an athlete. However, when she had a family of her own, especially children, she suddenly shifted all her focus on serving the family and taking care of the children. Moreover, even if she retires early, she must escort the cultivation and growth of Muratti. During those years, Adalaiti could be said to have worked hard and devoted himself to cultivating the athletic expertise of The Muratti brothers and sisters. Moreover, by this devotion I mean almost all of Adalaiti's energy, ability, and financial and material resources. Of course, it is precisely because of this perseverance and righteousness of Adalaiti that Murathi, who has been sensible since childhood, has had his own later growth and such achievements as today.
I remember that in the 2016-2017 CBA season, when xinjiang finally won the championship as they wished, Tursun and Adalaiti, as the parents of Maiwulan and Mulati, also celebrated the victory for our Xinjiang team, and also expressed their regret that their son could not stand on the highest podium in the end. Of course, I am also very sympathetic and understanding of their feelings. Sometimes, however, the founder and founder of any real cause is definitely not just a passer-by for a while and for a while. The one-time and lightning-like character of "dajiang song turning its head to the east and whirlwinding in all directions" can neither be the real foundation of our Xinjiang basketball, nor can it be the real future of our Xinjiang basketball. Therefore, in this sense, only our own Maiwulan and Mulati are the "brothers" and "disciples" who truly belong to our own Basketball in Xinjiang.

Today, we feel particularly relieved and pleased that whether it is Mai Wulan, who is now the coach of our Xinjiang youth team, or Muratti, who is currently working as a coach in the coaching team of the national women's basketball team, they are not only still engaged in the basketball career they love, but most importantly, they have not left and will never leave our basketball in Xinjiang. For this reason alone, our Xinjiang basketball should applaud them, should praise them, and should always remember them...
