On March 7, 2021, Liu An died of a sudden heart disease in the line of duty and left his beloved job forever at the age of 55.

On March 9, the farewell ceremony of Liu An's body was held at the Babaoshan Funeral Home in Beijing, and hundreds of Liu An's former comrades-in-arms and people from all walks of life spontaneously went to mourn and send them off. People remember the good comrade-in-arms in the eyes of this colleague in tears, the "dry son" in the eyes of the elderly in the community, and the "good father" in the eyes of the children in difficulty...

34 years as a day, to ensure the peace of one side

In February 1987, 21-year-old Liu An was admitted to the public security system after retiring from the army. In 1996, he was in charge of the Pu Huang Yu Second Community in the district. At that time, the community's Puhuangyu One Mile and Four Mile were still open communities, with a large floating population, which brought a lot of safety risks.

Liu An insisted that only by carrying out closed transformation and management of the community can we prevent irrelevant personnel from entering and leaving at will and reduce the number of burglaries. However, upgrades require the support of professional companies to achieve.

At that time, it was the hot summer heat, Liu An and community cadres ran seven or eight times in a row, and talked about cooperation with professional companies. Once, Liu An's car broke down, and he walked over, and after a while he was soaking wet. In the end, cooperation was negotiated. After the safety construction and transformation of the community was officially launched, Liu An was not idle, going back and forth to the building materials market against the high temperature to buy materials, and cooperating with professional construction personnel to install the safety doors and guardrails one by one. After the renovation was completed, there were no more cases of burglary in the community.

In order to improve the people's awareness of safety precautions, Liu An often carries a recording speaker and uses patrol time to publicize safety precautions in the community. In 2011, through multi-party support and 2,000 yuan out of pocket, Liu An founded the "Voice of Peace" radio room at the community police station.

The content of the broadcast he edited included prevention knowledge, service information and life tips, and the first broadcast was well received by the residents of the community. In May of that year, he edited the Voice of Peace Newspaper, and the first issue of 1,000 copies was distributed to residents in less than two hours.

Since then, "the community has Liu An, everyone is safe" has become Liu An's reputation and spread in the community.

34 years as a day, to help the jurisdiction of the old and young

Puhuangyu Second Community is an old community with an elderly population accounting for more than 70%. Many lonely and widowed elderly people with difficulties in life are the main objects of help for Liu An since he joined the company in 1987, he often goes to the door to deliver food and medicine to the elderly, runs errands, helps solve family disputes, and sends the last days to some deceased widows and widows...

Xu Changxiu is the former party secretary of Puhuangyu Second Community and has worked with Liu An for 18 years. In Xu Changxiu's memory, every Chinese New Year's Eve night, Liu An accompanied the lonely and widowed elderly in the community. In 2003, during the "SARS" period, Liu An ran to the hospital without saying a word to get medicine for an elderly man living alone who asked him for help, "The old man cried when he got the medicine, because no one dared to run to the hospital at that time." ”

In this way, Liu Ancheng became a "dry son" in the eyes of many elderly people in the community. Huang Zhenying, 80, has lived in the community with his wife and children for 16 years, and they have sought help from Liu An in big things and small things. 3 months ago, the old man's property was secretly rented by the stepson, Liu An found a lawyer and an intermediary, and it took more than two months to finally get the old man's house back and recover the rent.

"The fact that the community has Liu An is a blessing for all of us." Huang Zhenying said that he believed Liu An and was assured to hand over his real estate deeds to Liu An for safekeeping.

Liu An has helped more than 70 orphans and widows in the jurisdiction, and also funded 18 orphaned children and 10 difficult students free of charge, and is affectionately called "police father" by the children. For more than 30 years, he has donated more than 200,000 yuan to poor families in the jurisdiction, and he has been living a poor life.

34 years as a day, passing on the spirit of Lei Feng

Rongli first-class merit 1 time, second-class merit 3 times, third-class merit 3 times, won personal commendation 8 times, was awarded the national public security system second-class hero model... The award certificates and medals of Liu An's office displayed at the Fengtai Public Security Bureau recorded his 34 years of extraordinary police career.

By example, Liu An's apprentices not only learned his methods of handling community policing, but also learned his enthusiasm for the masses. Wei Jiandong, who is currently the deputy director of the Puhuangyu police station, is the leader of Liu An, but every time he sees Liu An, he respectfully calls out "Master".

In July 2000, Wei Jiandong became Liu An's apprentice. "When I first started working, I was young and vigorous, and sometimes I didn't have a good attitude towards the masses." Wei Jiandong recalled that Liu An said to him in a serious tone at that time: "Dealing with the masses is an art, not simple and rude, not louder than anyone, what is needed is patience and carefulness, we must always think of the demands of the masses, and use the thinking of the masses to solve problems for them." ”

As early as 2002, Liu An set up the "Lei Feng Volunteer Team" in the community. On March 5 this year, Liu An sent the last circle of friends, which introduced the situation of the team's 20th anniversary of its establishment, and organized Lei Feng activities in the community. "20 years of persistence, 20 years of inheritance, let the spirit of Lei Feng shine forever." He wrote in the Circle of Friends.

Wang Xuezhong, director of the political department of the Fengtai Public Security Sub-Bureau, said that Liu Anchang's words to the young policemen were "people should always pay something for this era."
