Preesee's old friends, remember this fairytale little wooden box? Allison May Kiphuth, an artist from York, Maine, USA, has been seeking to preserve the scenery around him, and as a result, he has created many fascinating works of art, and the small wooden box is one of the series, these beautiful paintings have themes from the ocean to the depths of the mountains, each of which can bring you a fantasy, and the most beautiful time is when these small cabinets of different beauties are finally combined into a specimen of the landscape. As if the whole world can be put into it, it is like a fairy tale book, unconsciously attracting you to pick it up and read it.
This time, Allison brought a whole new work of art, the Demi-Spheres collection. Without further ado, let's start with the picture:
I believe that sharp-eyed friends have discovered their difference, these hemispherical paintings ... Doesn't seem flat? Yes, you read that right! They are a combination of layers of watercolor paintings, each of which is a three-dimensional psychedelic forest
As an artist and nature lover, Allison is committed to using watercolor to depict the natural beauty around her. Working in Maine and the beautiful New Hampshire coastline gave her more opportunities to explore nature in depth. Allison photographs natural beauty during a jungle adventure and then transforms flat photographs into multi-layered spherical forms through secondary creations. She named the awesome series "Demi-Spheres" (which can be understood as "hemisphere").
Each hemispherical work is made up of a number of hand-cut layers of paper, presenting a three-dimensional "forest" in the shape of a circle. Among them, each layer depicts the forest scenery very carefully, from the long-range to the mid-view to the close-up, using the gradient of green tones and the painting method from transparent to distinct, so that the entire "forest" is layered and varied. In the arc of the scene, the green pine is more upright and the scenery is more vibrant.
Prior to the creation of Demi-Spheres, Allison, in addition to the three-dimensional model created with wooden boxes as the carrier reviewed at the beginning of the article, also had a Bioconstellation series that used watercolors and ink to show the feathers, leaves and stones of nature.

It was with these two series that the foundation was laid, and Allison naturally combined three-dimensional sculptures with hand-drawn illustrations to create the Demi-Spheres series. Allison said: "This series is an experiment, somewhere between my wooden box sculpture and Bioconstellation, or, as I've always thought, from a stereoscopic model. ”

So many natural and beautiful scenery is depicted by the artist's hand, which is more of an idyllic, tranquil literary and artistic atmosphere, and the most beautiful scenery will always exist in the artist's heart.
