Wang Yungong, born in January 1937 in Suixi County, Anhui Province, is of Han ethnicity and graduated from the Art Department of Anhui Normal University. He is currently a member of the China Printmakers Association, a former director of the Anhui Provincial Artists Association, an art consultant of the Huaibei Artists Association, an honorary president of the Anhui North Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, the vice president of the Xuzhou New Oriental Calligraphy and Painting Institute, and a national first-class artist. Over the decades, he has created hundreds of works such as prints, Chinese paintings, and New Year paintings, which have been published in national and provincial newspapers and periodicals. In recent decades, specializing in Chinese painting landscapes, flowers and birds, trying to fuse Chinese painting and printmaking, Western painting into a furnace, paying attention to the simple, thick, beautiful, magnificent can integrate traditional skills with the charm of the times, and concentrate on painting their own faces, their own temperament, cultivation and charm.
His major works include "On the Military Parade", "Boiling Mine", "The Great Critique", "Gardener's Song", "The Joy of harvest" and other prints, as well as flower and bird paintings such as "Ancient Cypress Trees in the Dacheng Hall of the Confucius Temple", "RainIng Basho", "Sacred Ancient Cypress Acacia", "Precious Peace", "Vicissitudes of Time", "Ancient Trees", "Autumn Sounds and Autumn Fruits". The ancients enjoyed being in the mountains and forests, "the benevolent Leshan, the wise leshui" liked to cultivate the mind in nature, and pursued the harmony of the unity of heaven and man. This can be seen in Teacher Wang's landscape paintings. The kind of life perception that runs through the soul can only be experienced if it really goes deep into life.
