"Wenxin Shuyi - Exhibition of Thousand Character Calligraphy collected by the Guangzhou Museum of Art" is currently being exhibited at the Guan Shanyue Art Museum on the first floor of the Guangzhou Museum of Art. One of the exhibits, "Wang Sheng's Cursive Thousand Character Text Rubbings", aroused the interest of the audience, especially those who knew about the history of Guangzhou. Its inkblot is one of the historical handwriting collections of Pan Shicheng, the owner of the Haishan Xianguan, and the rough rubbing stone is also one of the inscriptions of the Haishan Xianguan.

Pan Shicheng (1804-1873), whose ancestral home is Tong'an, Fujian. His private villa, the Haishan Xianguan, named after the "Sea Sacred Mountain, Immortal Old Pavilion" of the Gate Union, integrates landscape gardens, Western decorations and cultural gardens, and became the first garden in Guangzhou at that time. Pan Shicheng's family is rich and ancient, and its collection includes many inscriptions from past dynasties. During the years from Daoguang to Tongzhi, Pan Shicheng hired carvers to engrave hooks such as "Haishan Xianguan Cong Ti" and other hooks on stone engravings. Over a thousand editions of stone carvings, a collection of calligraphers from the Jin Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, are embedded in the walls of more than 300 cloisters of the Haishan Xianguan, becoming a famous garden. Xia Luan's "Haishan Xianguan Picture Scroll" also depicts this. At present, the remaining 136 editions of stone carvings are inlaid in the stele gallery of the Zhongyuan Building exhibition area of Yuexiu Mountain.

The event was jointly planned and organized by the Guangzhou Museum of Art and the Guangzhou Museum, and was divided into two special sessions, the first special session was the Guangdong Provincial Inner Literature And Museum, which was only open to the practitioners of museums and art galleries in the province, and the second special session was the patriotic education base special session, which was carried out for primary and secondary school teachers. Chen Yulan and Du Xiahua, senior museum people and rubbing experts, were specially invited as instructors.

The experience activities are divided into three parts, one is that Teacher Chen Yulan briefly introduces the origin of the haishan immortal hall inscription, collection and circulation; The second is that the two teachers personally demonstrate and guide how to rub on the stone carving; The third is the Wadang rubbing experience for participants under the guidance of two teachers.
